"From the very first notes of Prince John's baroque and moody ballad "I Told Her" to Amsterdam's "No One Really Cares" you're thrown in a time capsule soundtrack filled with Harmony and Chamber Pop, Folk, Light-Sike sounds. Compilations like this would probably have never existed before the Fading Yellow series opened the listener to such gentle moods. Lots of guitars, arpeggios, flutes and obvious references to young Paul Simon' songwriting style, as well as airy West Coast Sunshine Pop and English Acid Folk permeate almost every tune hereby included. An in-depth research by Dutch Beat Era expert Erik Meinen enriches this 18 tracks album with a two pages long insert that will reveal the beautiful and truly interesting stories of each and every artist/band selected. Some "known" names like Alderman and Amsterdam will probably sound familiar. The acid guitar-driven "Wild Flowers" by Double You will surely bring back echoes of the Pretties circa S.F. Sorrow, but really we are into almost unknown territories here, for non-connoisseurs of the Dutch Folk saga that made the late Sixties and early Seventies a great musical stage for Folk-Pop and similar sub-genres in Holland. Now it's your turn to discover them all. Limited edition of 500 copies individually numbered. Includes a two pages insert with detailed and deeply researched liner notes. Volume two is currently in the making.

Biltong, any brand, is healthier for you than “beef jerky”.
Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Ayouba Biltong is soft and full of flavor without excess sugar, preservatives, and spices. Good quality: if you can get it on sale or with an Amazon subscription even better. Sometimes settling occurs and more small “shreds” of it than I’d like, but overall a great, good-tasting product. Per ounce? Hey no Biltong is “cheap”. This isn’t Jack’s Links, etc.

Sour moist meat
Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I had a hankering for jerky and found biltong instead. I didn’t know what made it different, but I was willing to try. I was very surprised how moist it was!! It’s better than the jerky here. If I wanted to gnaw on leather then I’d get my belt instead of paying money for dried meat. I liked that it didn’t have sugar. However , the flavor was confusing. It was mostly sour, like too much vinegar. Other reviewers mentioned that too and I must agree. I’m not sure how it’s suppose to taste but this experience makes me hesitate buying any more.

Rancid, Nasty, biltong shavings
Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1), Flavor Name: Traditional, Size: 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This Ayoba Biltong has an OK flavour, but the black pepper is excessive. About 20% of the shavings are rancid, which means that every 5 shaving pinch you put in your mouth is practically guaranteed to have a rancid flake. The rancid flakes are bitter. acrid and foul, and this nastiness completely overpowers the biltong flavour, even the excess black pepper taste. I believe the rancidness comes from the white bits of fat attached to the meat, but who wants to sort and clean these biltong bits?
DO NOT BUY!!!!
FYI - I grew up in Swaziland and Botswana, and ate pounds and pounds of biltong. I even made Biltong while deep in the Okavango Delta.
