The Spanish cedar divider: an active preservation role

The cedar wood of the divider is not just an organizing element — it plays an active role in preservation. Its hygroscopic properties naturally regulate humidity in contact with cigars. Its aromatic terpenes gradually diffuse into the tobacco leaves, enriching the taste profile as they age. And it repels tobacco beetle, a harmful insect capable of destroying a collection.

This is why the divider is worth keeping even if you don't use all the slots — its presence enriches the internal environment of the humidor.

Distilled water only: refill the humidifier via the included pipette with distilled water — never tap water, which causes calcification and contamination. Refill as soon as the hygrometer indicates a level below 65%.

Divider limit: ∅ 60, height 160 mm. Standard Churchill cigars (178 mm) exceed the maximum height with the divider in place — remove it to accommodate them. Without the divider, the humidor's internal height remains the limit.

This "valet" organizer, which is the first time I've heard that term for a product like this, is nearly perfect.
