About this text, the author writes:
"Know – may Allāh have mercy on me and you! – that each of the ḥadīths of the Companions [about the Isra' and Mi'raj] contains something the other does not. Therefore I consulted Allāh Almighty and concatenated them, rearranging the account into a single narrative so that it would be sweeter to attentive ears, and in order for its benefit to suit all occasions."
This course will provide a comprehensive reading that guides students on an experiential ride through every step of the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ journey, which promises to be inspiring and exhilarating to the spiritual core.
"The Prophet’s Night Journey & Heavenly Ascent" Online course will cover 5 major themes from the book:
- Al-Isra’ & Jerusalem
- The Seven Heavens
- The Lote-Tree & Paradise
- The Divine Meeting
- The Descent & lastly the Vision of Allah in the World and the Hereafter
Classes will be kept small to allow for participation and questions. Students will be invited to join a private Telegram chat group with the instructor to facilitate further discussion and inquiry.
Course schedule: Starting Monday January 29th, 2024 until February 19th, 2024 (1pm ET; 10am PST; 6pm British; 8pm Medina) – This will be a live course held via Zoom. All sessions will be recorded if you cannot attend live.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Ustadh Talut Dawood grew up in the United States, in New York, North Carolina, and Texas. He studied under the tutelage of his father, Shaykh Sulaiman Dawood, a classically trained scholar himself, and thereafter with teachers hailing from Syria, West Africa, the UK and North America. He currently resides in Mexico, where he has served as a leader and Imam. In 2018 he formally joined as a member of the Imam Ghazali Publishing team, with the blessings and formal idhn of his teacher, Shaykh Mahy Cisse, and has since translated and taught over 20 books for IGP as Translator-in-Residence.
