The RIPPER, is now available with a round tail. The round tail gives The RIPPER more range in a wider variety of waves than the original squash tail. Reducing surface area in the last few inches of the tail lends more control, at higher speeds and allows more precise turns in tighter, powerful pockets. With only a minimal loss of lift and effectiveness in the smallest surf, the RIPPER Round makes up for it, with increased effectiveness once the surf gets a bit more size or punch. Whether its long drawn out carves on overhead walls or quick snaps and gouges in curvy, dumpy waves, the round tail elevates The RIPPER beyond being a small wave, grovel specialized surfboard. The rocker, rails and bottom remain relatively unchanged, but the nose is just slightly narrower, and the tail foiled out a bit as well. We set up the stock dims to be ridden 1, or so, longer than the original, squash tail, version, for an effective a One-Two punch, mini quiver, in most of the surf you will see in a typical town.

Outline:Very similar to the original RIPPER, but with a slightly narrower nose and a more refined tail area. The board is meant to be ridden about 1" longer than the original squash tail version. The outline gives it more range without losing the small-wave feel.

Rocker:The rocker stays mostly unchanged from the original RIPPER. That means it should still keep the easy speed, paddle, and small-wave performance of the original design.

Bottom Contours:The bottom remains relatively unchanged from the original RIPPER. The text does not list the exact bottom contour, but it says the bottom design was kept mostly the same, so the main change is not underneath the board.

Tail:Round tail. This is the key change. Compared to the original squash tail, the round tail reduces surface area in the last few inches, giving the board more control at higher speeds and more precision in tighter, punchier pockets.
