Please note: if water bottles are dropped on a hard surface they may dint being made from stainless steel. The lid is made from plastic so lids can crack upon dropping. Please keep in mind prior to purchase If intending on purchasing for a child. 

lids are made from a soft rubber. Please note if your child is teething or bites on the spout this can cause dints or perforations. 

lids are only leak proof IF the spout is down. When the spout is up it does have a hole which which is built in to release pressure (especially when filled with hot water).
