STROBON lights have been among the most powerful navigation lights on the model aircraft market for years. These XL Cree Edition lights offer increased brightness and feature a durable polycarbonate dome with wired connection.
Two working modes are supported:

RC Controlled Mode:
Connect the light to a spare channel on your RC receiver to enable/disable it remotely. Each Strobon unit interprets servo signals, so multiple units can be connected to the same RC channel and remain synchronised.

Standalone Mode:
Connect directly to a 3.5–6V battery for continuous operation without RC input.
Colour Selection
Each colour differs in visibility and energy efficiency due to human eye sensitivity and LED technology. Based on long-term field experience:
| WHITE | Highest visibility and energy efficiency. |
| YELLOW | Similar to white, with improved performance in misty conditions. |
| RED | Second in visibility. Matches white in efficiency. Best for warning applications. |
| GREEN | Third in visibility and efficiency. Ideal for standard navigation use (right side). |
| BLUE | Lower visibility and efficiency. Not recommended for navigation or warnings—suitable for special applications. |
| IR 850nm | Visible to night vision goggles and some surveillance cameras. |
| IR 940nm | Visible to night vision goggles only. Completely invisible to the naked eye. May be seen by some cameras at close range. |
Summary: White and Red are optimal for long-range visibility. Green is ideal for directional orientation. Blue should be reserved for specific, non-standard uses.
