What is the SportScreen Vanish LITE?
The Vanish LITE is the newer, more accessible entry in the SportScreen Golf Studio lineup — built by the same team behind the original Vanish Series, the world’s first retractable golf enclosure. It keeps the patented retractable impact screen and rear support membrane, swaps the fully-retractable side screens for a semi-retractable track-and-curtain system, and bakes the corner and baffle protection directly into the design. The result is a cleaner install, a lower starting price, and a design that fits more rooms without structural workarounds.
Why Choose the Vanish LITE?
The Vanish LITE trades some flexibility for simplicity and price. The side curtains are semi-retractable — they slide on a track and pin back, but they don’t roll up the way the Vanish Series does. Side depth is fixed at 3ft (no 5ft or 10ft custom option), and the warranty is 1 year vs. 2 years on the Vanish Series. The trade works for most buyers: a single mounting surface with only two anchor points, built-in corner protection with no velcro, and a price point that’s up to 30% lower. If full retractability and deeper sides matter more than price, step up to the Vanish Series. If simple install and budget matter more, the LITE is the answer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Three main differences. First, retractability: the Vanish Series is fully retractable on all sides; the LITE’s side curtains slide on a track and pin back rather than rolling up. Second, side depth: the Vanish Series offers 5ft, 10ft, and custom depths; the LITE is fixed at 3ft. Third, warranty: Vanish Series is 2 years, LITE is 1 year. Every LITE model requires a ceiling height between 108” and 124” (9ft–10ft 4”). Room depth varies by model: the LITE 9 needs 111”–124”, the LITE 11 needs 142”–155”, and the LITE 13 needs 166”–179”. 180” recommended total room length across all models. You also need 8”–12” of clearance behind the back screen and 6”–8” off the side walls. Measure your space and share it with us — we’ll confirm the right model before you order.
Yes — this is one of the LITE’s biggest advantages over the Vanish Series. The LITE only needs two mounting points on a single surface, so it mounts directly to a wall without requiring level ceiling joists or building down from a vault. The Vanish Series requires level mounting points on two surfaces, which often means framing out a ceiling first. If you have a vaulted, sloped, or otherwise non-standard ceiling, the LITE is usually the better fit. Ask us about your specific space.
The motorized version uses a single standard 110V outlet — the motor power cord mounts on the impact support membrane and plugs into a nearby receptacle. Remote control operation is compatible with Alexa, Google Home, and the Tuya app. If you don’t have a nearby outlet (or just don’t want to run power to the install location), the hand crank version retracts the full front screen and rear support membrane manually with no power requirement.
No — semi-retractable. The front impact screen and rear support membrane are fully retractable (they roll up). The side curtains slide on a track and pin back when not in use, but they don’t roll up the way the Vanish Series side screens do. The tradeoff is what enables the built-in corner and baffle system and the simpler install — if full retractability on all sides matters, step up to the Vanish Series.
The Vanish LITE ships with the premium 3-ply impact screen, rear impact support membrane/blackout screen, two 3ft side curtains, ceiling panel, side baffles, front baffle, valence baffle, wall/ceiling brackets, and all assembly hardware. The premium 3-ply impact screen handles high-velocity shots from any launch monitor setup, and projection ratios are matched to standard aspect ratios — 1:1 on the LITE 9 (93” × 93”), 4:3 on the LITE 11 (124” × 93”), and 16:10 on the LITE 13 (148” × 93”). 1-year limited warranty on the unit against defects in materials and workmanship. One important caveat: warranty coverage requires the use of an impact screen approved by The SportScreen — the included premium 3-ply screen qualifies, as do replacement screens sourced through an authorized dealer. Using an unapproved third-party screen voids warranty eligibility. The Vanish Series carries a longer 2-year warranty if that matters for your purchase.
