In immaculate unpolished condition. If you look closely, you can find a few minor scratches on the edge of the crystal and on the bezel but overall, it’s super clean.

Most of the watches we offer are produced for the Japanese domestic market, this example was produced for the Singaporean market. The difference is in the day wheel, which is usually Kanji and English for the Japanese market and English, French or Spanish for different markets. This watch has English and Roman numerals with a funky red square for Sunday. It's unsure whether it was produced in 1982 or 1992.

The ‘5’ in Seiko 5 stands for 5 principles or features: automatic winding, a day/date display, water resistance (however, please don’t go swimming wearing this watch), a recessed crown and a durable case and bracelet.

The 7009 movement was produced somewhere between 1977 and 1996 and is a solid movement, also used in the first edition of the SNXJ-series. The date can be quickset by pulling the crown one step; the day can be advanced by pressing the crown.
