National Geographic Walking Guide Venice leads readers through the six districts (sestieri) of Venice, each with its own specific identity. Overlooking the Grand Canal, San Marco and San Polo are the ancient administrative and trading centers. North of San Polo, Cannaregio was the old Jewish quarter; Santa Croce, to the west, has the most beautiful churches in Venice. Dorsoduro, southwest of San Marco, is known for its art galleries, while Castello, to the east, was the city’s maritime center.
The six chapters each open with an introduction followed by a map of the itinerary highlighting the route’s stages and providing detailed information on the various sites. Each visit to the district is supplemented by an in-depth “In Detail” section, aimed at an important site; a “This Is Venice” section, which provides information on a characteristic element of the neighborhood; and one “The Best” section, which groups the best sites by theme.

It's a good look.

Very nice watch. I was complemented twice in 3 days. It fits well, looks great. I'm trying to look at screens less and teach my kids how to tell time on an analog clock face. 4 stars because, while the strap on the outside looks like it's a nylon/fabric wrist band, the inside is leather. My wrist has gotten pretty sweaty as a result. And there is a VERY audible 'tick' involved with this watch. I'm a contractor and have moderate hearing loss, but I've noticed the tick when I'm sitting quietly in my living room. If a ticking clock drives you nuts, I would not recommend. Most of the time, I am in a locale so noisy, it doesn't matter. They want a jeweler to change the battery, which, as a guy who fixes stuff, I don't love, but I've got some time before I think about that. No pun intended. I'm happy with this purchase. Good for the jobsite or a hot date with my wife.

Most Dependable and Accurate Watch I Have Ever Owned

I bought this watch in August 2022. It is now January 2026. I have worn it almost every day and every night. I mow my yard with it on, wear it for funerals and weddings but always take it off when taking a shower. I have owned many watches in my 77 years including a Rolex but will say this is the finest and most accurate watch I have ever owned. It is not fancy nor flashy but dependable and keeps PERFECT time. It is a timex and I am proud to wear it. My only recommendation is they enlarge the window showing the calendar day and wish they would include the day of the year. Thank you. A+
