It is the perfect summer-opening compilation for both rare groove diggers and DJs in search of the best tropical beats. Formerly clandestine, today manifest, both sacred but also profane, sometimes meditated, very often improvised, the Kabar transpires in the daily life on Reunion, getting rid with insolence of any label that dares to try to impose itself. The Kabar is a fleeting but bubbling manifestation of an identity and a local culture that is still difficult to define. A moment of life and sharing where handcrafted instruments, neighborhood meetings, ritual dances and lyrical demands are mixed, a meeting. Born from the musical union of maloya and electronic music, Digital Kabar is a compilation at the crossroads of cultures, porous to all sound experiences. It's also the result of a friendship resulting from InFiné heading to the Les Electropicales festival, the fascination of a small team dedicated to the independent musical cause of a musical scene and it's diversity. A small book but a true gem!

Max Lucado’s “God Will Use This for Good” is an excellent book that I highly recommend. It’s only 47 pages but the words carry a very strong message for those of us who feel helplessness in our lives. I purchased it because it’s a feeling I have. This book has reminded me time & time again, as I remember what I’ve read or I reread it. It’s an easy read. The book begins with a prayer which I included pictures of. There are 4 short chapters that follow, a response page & finally with uplifting scriptures. The focus of the book is on Joseph, the Son of Jacob. His story is told in the Bible. His Father adored him above his Brothers which in turn made his Brothers hate him. They hated him so much they threw him in a pit they were certain he would die in. Mr. Lucado writes this book with the focus on strength Joseph had to endure 20 years in this pit, as written in the Bible. At the age of 37 he became much more than a 17yo boy thrown in a bottomless pit. Why? He believed. This story is reflected onto us who face dark days. Mr. Lucado writes that God will get us THROUGH these times. THROUGH is a common word in many scriptures. It’s further written that “You’ll get through this. It won’t be painless. It won’t be quick. But God will use this mess for good. In the meantime don’t be foolish or naive. But don’t despair either. With God’s help you will get through this.” The big question is asked do you trust God? If you do Mr. Lucado makes it as easy as A-B-C. “Admit your wrongdoing. Believe that Jesus is who he says he is. Commit your life to his cause.” The response page allows you to reflect a prayer & to sign off. It’s a wonderful ending to a book that carries a powerful message. I feel that message is that God will get me THROUGH my difficult times & I truly believe this because I’m a child of Jesus, the Son of God. I have certain pages highlighted which I flip to easily. If I’m in true need I read the entire book. I can’t write enough on how much this has benefited me at the cost of under $5.00. I feel if you can relate to anything I’ve written, you will greatly benefit from this book.

God Promises
Format: Kindle
The message in “Surviving the Mess of Life” by Max Lucado is well worth reading. It reminded me that no matter what I’m going through or how messed up my life is, the importance to stop and remember Gods’ promises in the Bible.
