Master of Fun

Riding a hardtail is a choice, not a compromise. When you throw a leg over it, you've already decided to squeeze every last drop of fun from each ride.

Highlights

You are here for a good time and Laufey is ready thanks to the low-slung, slack geometry, big fork, and that magic feel which comes from the clever frame design absorbing trail buzz and taking the sting out of bigger impacts.

Laufey refuses to be categorized and could be your first bike, or another bike in your collection. Ride it in Lycra or shred it in jeans. It doesn't matter. Laufey is your ticket to a good time.

That Magic Feel

Designing a little bit of compliance into a frame adds comfort and also helps the bike track the ground better, especially at speed. Laufey's magic handling and composure when things get gnarly comes from that tuned rigidity and every tube has been carefully designed to offer the most fun, responsive ride possible.

Trail Geometry, Done Right

Whether you are riding XC, or hitting the local jump trail, Laufey is ready with geometry built for shredding and to inspire confidence in newer riders.

Tough. Simple. Unstoppable.

With a rugged aluminum frame and factory-fitted vinyl protection, Laufey shrugs off the rough stuff so you can just keep riding.

Precision and absorption

Precision needs stiffness and absorption needs compliance, so how do we do it? The frame from the headtube to the bottom bracket is stiffer, adding precision, accuracy and pedalling efficiency where it is needed. The strength from the powerspine gives us freedom to design the rear triangle and toptube to maximize vertical compliance—a must for vibration absorption.

Tuned Stiffness

Studying the way a frame behaves at speed on a rough trail is critical to designing a bike like Laufey. The downtube and headtube areas are stiff, offering precision and great pedalling, however by very carefully adding some controlled flex into the toptube and seat stays we can help reduce unwanted vibrations and lessen the effects of impacts.

Trail Geometry, Done Right

Take a slack, low slung frame. Add Steep 'n' Deep to maximize maneuverability and a big 140mm fork for when things get crazy. Precision shaping of the chainstays to give lots of clearance for grippy 2.6" tires. That is the recipe for fun!

Don't feel you have to hold back just because you are on a hardtail, Laufey is ready for any trouble you want to seek out. Laufey's confident geometry lets you have fun on trails where other riders only venture with their fully. Thanks to the uninterrupted, short and straight seat tube Laufey has space for fully inserting long travel dropper posts on all sizes. Drop your saddle right out of the way on the descents, giving more space to more your body and more control. Long travel droppers are the only way! The sloping top tube works with Steep 'n' Deep, giving loads of space to maximize Laufey's playfulness.

More Travel, More Traction

Laufey’s geometry is up for big hits, big tires, and big fun no matter where you point it. The long travel 140mm fork matches Laufey's fun loving nature, letting you push hard even when things get rough. Laufey's carefully shaped chainstays offer plenty of clearance for 2.6" tires.

Tough. Simple. Unstoppable.

Laufey is a bombproof hardtail, built to survive abuse. The factory fitted vinyl protects the downtube from the inevitable rock strikes and the internal cables are protected and hidden.

Advanced Aluminium Frame

Laufey's advanced aluminium frame with shaped tubes are double or triple butted. This adds strength to the high stress weld areas and saves weight elsewhere, allowing us to fine tune the ride quality.

Lockr: Everything You Need, Right At Hand

Lockr is our downtube cargo bay, complete with an OC bag and enough space for all the essential tools and whatever you need for short rides or longer days.

Internal cables

The internal cable routing guides cables through the downtube and chainstays to ensure no rubbing or rattling.

Downtube Protector

The downtube is protected from the inevitable stone strikes by the robust and invisible vinyl protector which offers great coverage.

Rubber Bumpers

The chainstay is protected by our custom designed rubber bumper, designed to protect and to reduce noise.

Chainguide Ready

The ICGS-05 mount allows secure mounting of Laufey's chain guide.

Don’t Pass On This One! Get Every Color!
Color: Black, Size: X-Large, Color: Black, Size: X-Large
I always brace myself when purchasing clothing off the internet because size recommendations don’t always hold true. I’m glad I flowed my mind and bought an XL instead of the recommended XXL. It fits perfectly. The quality was better than I expected and the neckline was a perfect height and the size was just right (my neck is a 19”). The cost was better than what’s offered in stores. The stretch material adds to the comfort and it’s lightweight; which makes it perfect for those that are hot alot…like me. (I’m 5’10”/ 260lbs / usually a XXL)

Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking
Color: Green/Black
I love this watch despite the fact that it is really a toy. I love the look of the watch, I love how lite the weight of the watch is on my wrist, and it really does keep good time if you manage the solar charge properly. Other than looking cool on your wrist, this watch has absolutely no functions other than time keeping. The black plastic bezel is molded into the case and does not turn, so don't plan on using that. The watch has no light, the dial numbers are non-luminous and the hands are very limited in terms of luminosity. No buttons. All you can do is adjust the time and date by pulling out what used to be a winding stem in the good old days. The small tag on the strap with Geographic coordinates shown on it indicate the location of the old Timex manufacturing facility (SW of Waterbury, CT). I have a nice ledge at my bedroom window and it gets good western sun for a good part of the day regardless of the time of year. On this ledge you will find a half dozen solar powered watches (mostly Casio) properly aligned to maximize the charge they may receive each day. Note that the description for this Timex watch specifically states that a lightbulb won't charge this watch. You need direct sunlight for several hours if you want to get more than a 3-week charge into this watch. So, I'll leave you with a couple of tips, my friends; 1.) If you are looking for a first watch to give your outdoorsy oriented Son or Daughter, then give them this one. Why? Because it is cool looking, fairly well built, and it actually works, 2.) After you receive your Timex watch, be sure to keep the display mount it is packaged with. It makes a great fixture to mount your watch on for charging and allows you to maximize the position of the solar cells on the dial so that you can optimize charging time. Have Fun! Jimmy

Excellent value, flawless performance for well over a year and no signs of quitting.
Color: Green/Black
Excellent value, had this for well over a year and it still keeps perfect time, still water resistant. No worries about having to change batteries. Owned a fancy expensive (battery) watch once and the dept. store repair intentionally sabotaged the watch in the hopes I would purchase another from them. Yeah, good luck with that, lost my business forever. This is the 21st century, cell phones are the new time pieces, but solar is totally reliable and Timex makes it happen. Holds a charge for many months, although I prop it in a bright window for a few days every few months or so just to make sure the cells are always fully charged, although it's probably unnecessary, just being over cautious. I haven't actually experienced this watch ever running out of power even after months of use. Damn impressive, as it should be.
