Luis Natera has been teaching the Venezuelan cuatro for over three decades. He was among the first cuatro educators in the world to bring lessons online — his early video courses on TuCuatro helped a generation of diaspora students connect with their instrument when nothing else existed. Today he teaches live, one-on-one via Zoom from Valencia, Venezuela.

His students include complete beginners who've never touched a cuatro and advanced players working toward soloists technique. They are based in Venezuela, the United States, Canada, and across Latin America and Europe. He teaches in both Spanish and English.

About Luis Natera

Luis Natera is a cuatrista and educator from Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela. He is the founder of Nuestro Ensamble, a group dedicated to instrumental Venezuelan music, and has performed with Maraca Ensamble and Tramando Nota. In 2010 he released his first album, Cuatro Voces al Viento, recorded in Valencia.

He was a pioneer of online cuatro instruction — creating TuCuatro's first teaching videos and making cuatro education accessible to the global Venezuelan diaspora. Over three decades of teaching have produced students at every level, across dozens of countries.
