The ATW-1423/L System 20 PRO from Audio-Technica is a versatile two-person digital wireless audio system, featuring an ATW-RC14 half-rack receiver chassis equipped with a remote-mountable ATW-RU14 receiver unit along with a lightweight bodypack transmitter, a black omnidirectional lavalier microphone, and a handheld microphone/transmitter. The receiver is well suited for rackmounting in portable flight cases or for permanent installations in educational facilities, conference rooms, small- to mid-sized venues, and houses of worship as well as broadcast studios.

The easy-to-use system comes preconfigured at the factory, ready to operate right out of the box with no setup required. Three levels of diversity reception and automatic frequency selection provide seamless, reliable performance at a range up to 200' with clear digital audio for presenters, lecturers, clergy, and performers.

Handheld Mic/Transmitter + Bodypack Transmitter with Omni Lavalier Mic

This configuration includes an ATW-T1401 bodypack transmitter and a miniature MT830cW lavalier microphone with a 4.6' cable for hands-free wireless productions. Also included is an ATW-T1402 handheld transmitter with a built-in dynamic microphone capsule.

The lavalier features a forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern that ensures consistent responsiveness regardless of the mic's angle, and its 30 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response delivers accuracy across the frequency spectrum. A clothing clip and a windscreen are included.

The handheld mic offers a hypercardioid polar pattern that provides a very narrow pickup pattern, helping to focus audio capture on the person using the mic, reducing unwanted background noise and helping to keep feedback from on-stage monitors at bay.

The bodypack features a moisture-resistant Hirose 4-pin cW-style connector and provides up to 15 hours of use with two alkaline AA batteries and up to 29 hours with lithium batteries. The handheld transmitter will run for 18 hours on two alkaline AA batteries and up to 35 hours on lithium batteries.

The transmitters are housed in lightweight chassis; the bodypack is equipped with a belt clip.

You can conveniently adjust the gain levels on both transmitters from the receiver to match the sensitivity of your microphone or audio source for distortion-free input.

With just a quick press, the power switches double as mute functions. This function can be locked out to prevent an accident.

Versatile 4-Channel Receiver

The flexible ATW-R1440 receiver offers two operational modes, depending on your needs. Standard mode provides 2 microphone channels at a latency of 2.8 ms, while HD (High Density) mode delivers 4 mic channels at a latency of 6.7 ms.

The chassis' front-panel OLED screen provides visual status information including RF signal level, gain level, and the transmitter's battery life.

A System ID number display indicates which transmitter is associated with a given receiver.

The rear panel provides 4 balanced XLR output connectors for compatibility with a wide range of pro audio gear.

The receiver module can be removed from the chassis and mounted up to 328' away and connected via Ethernet cable for better antenna reception when necessary.

A 1/4"-20 thread allows for mounting the receiver module to a bracket, stand, and other fixture. The unit can also be permanently wall mounted using the included receiver unit holder.

The durable half-rack receiver chassis houses a modular receiver unit and can be mounted alone using the included mounting brackets and screws. Two chassis can be mounted side-by-side using the included joining plate, allowing eight wireless mic channels (in HD mode) to occupy a single 19" rackspace for a compact multichannel installation.

Up to five chassis can be linked using RJ12 cables, creating a stable environment in which up to 20 wireless mics are operating simultaneously, with all receiving, transmitting, and frequency allocation coordinated to prevent audio dropouts.

Clear Digital Audio That's Easy to Set Up and Operate

Digital Audio Quality

The System 20 PRO offers full-bandwidth, 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio with none of the audio artifacts associated with analog companding.

Automatic Frequency Selection

Just power up the components, and the receiver automatically seeks out a clean frequency and pairs up with the transmitter, saving you the hassle of scanning and syncing.

While in use, the system continually monitors activity in the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi range and automatically switches to a clean frequency to avoid interference if necessary.

Pairing Multiple Transmitters

Each receiver channel can be paired with up to four transmitters, allowing users to instantly switch between different transmitter configurations. This is useful in situations when you have multiple speakers, one after another, and you need to have them miked up and ready to go. All you'll have to do is turn one transmitter off and the next one on.

Remote Control from Computer

Wireless Manager is a dedicated software that supports the wireless operation of Audio-Technica products. Connecting the receiver to a computer running Windows or macOS allows you to monitor the status of and control the receiver.

You can configure device settings in an offline manner and even import settings by establishing an online connection with a device. Certain settings, including detailed mix outputs, EQs, and compressor parameters are only adjustable via Wireless Manager.

Three Levels of Diversity Assurance to Avoid Dropouts

Triple Diversity Reception Maximizes Wireless Signal Integrity

Space Diversity: the receiver compares the signal showing up at its two antennas and chooses the strongest one.

Time Diversity: the transmitter sends the digital signal in two imperceptibly different time slots and compares the two.

Frequency Diversity: the digital audio is sent over two different frequencies at the same time and the system chooses the cleaner one.

For optimal performance, users are encouraged to maintain as direct a line of sight as possible between the transmitter and receiver.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Band

Unlike traditional analog wireless systems, the System 20 PRO operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, away from interruptions and dropouts caused by TV and radio channel interference.

Add Functionality to Your System

Audio-Technica offers a variety of microphone and instrument cable options to adapt your System 20 PRO as your needs evolve.

Video Conferencing

The ATW-T1406 boundary transmitter/mic is designed for tabletop use, ideal for applications such as video-conferencing where minimum visibility is required.

Conferences/Boardrooms

The ATW-T1407 base transmitter can be used with a gooseneck mic on a table for situations where wired mics are impractical.

Guitarists

The AT-GcW guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Garmin has been a super disappointment.
Style: Alpha TT 25
FOR THE REMOTE: For reasons I cannot fathom as a software developer, the Garmin developers chose to program the handheld to wait for GPS lock before allowing you to control the collar. This is stupid beyond belief and causes frustration that simply shouldn't be. Look Garmin, the remote should be able to communicate with the collar first and foremost. I want to be able to power everything up, put the collar on the dog, and walk out the door. If my dog sees a rabbit or deer, I want to be able to remind him not to chase. I DON'T want to stand there staring at my remote greeted by the message "Waiting for GPS" with all the buttons non-responsive. Fix this! This should be super easy to fix with a firmware update. Fix it and I'll gladly give this unit 10 stars! GPS is way too finicky to have to wait for it before using the basic controls. Update: SERIOUSLY!! HOT GARBAGE. This remote couldn't find a satellite if I stuck one up its... AGH.. and you can't communicate with your dog's collar until it does. FOR THE COLLAR: You won't be happy with the beeper.. It's super quiet. The light is an awesome feature. Vibration may work for your dog, mine doesn't seem to notice it at all. If the antenna was any longer it would pick up signals from outer space. Buy the shorter one if you decide to go with this unit and don't need to keep your dog from crossing an ocean. Seriously though... I'll never buy anything Garmin again. I would recommend you don't either.

Works Great, Use Daily, No Issues
Style: Alpha TT 25
While expensive, this product is rock-solid and has not given me a single issue over 2 years of use. Would buy again, highly satisfied. Can't beat the functionality or peace of mind of knowing right where our beloved family pet and hunting companion is located.

Great little radio, it was.
Great value for the price. I have received excellent audio reports on a couple repeaters I have tested on so far, on the first day with the radio. Love how you can customize all the display background and text colors. Tempature sensing fan works properly. Unfortunately, they do not send a programming cable with this radio, very annoying! It will not save offset and t-ctcs tone into memory mode when programming by hand, which is unfortunate because it is easier to program by hand than some other cheap radios, like the Baofeng keypad. I really wanted to upload all my channels via Chirp, and to make sure Chirp is actually supported before posting review, but it is what it is, and now I have to find a proper programming cable, then hope I did not pick one that does not work. Other than this very disappointing fact, this radio is well worth the money and I highly recommend if you are on a budget or just getting into the hobby. I have mainly been working HF since getting my General ticket and have made contact all over the world, so you can rest assured this review is by someone who knows what they are talking about. Grab one while you can, you will not be disappointed, except for them not including a programming cable! Edit: Have to return, squelch not working on second day. Right in the middle of a net, had to use monitor button to finish my contact. Turn monitor off and the receiver will not open squelch, which is set to 1. Can set squelch to 0 and receive but anyone who runs VHF/UHF knows that, unlike HF, an open squelch is just too noisy. Spent hours trying to fix, no joy! 73, Stephen
