Major Murphy follows up their debut long play 'No. 1' with a set of bedroom recordings archiving a time when Jacob Bullard was discovering his voice as a songwriter and the band was finding their footing within that space. Named after the house in Grand Rapids, MI that many of these songs were written and recorded in, the Lafayette EP chronicles a liminal space as the project transitioned from a stripped-down, solo project toward a three-piece rock band. The porches and walls of this house on Lafayette Avenue was a natural space for creativity and collaboration, a space where the band recorded early versions of Major Murphy standards that would eventually be taken into the studio to create their debut album. Listening to these tracks is almost like walking past the Lafayette house on a breezy Fall morning, hearing the songs spilling out the windows and down the street. Venture to peer through a window and you just might catch a glimpse of the magic.

From dry to soft in days.

I bought this moisturizer at a time when my skin truly needed help, with mature and sensitive skin, and I was dealing with intense dryness. My skin felt tight, dull, and uncomfortable, even after trying several products that didn’t provide lasting hydration.
I decided to try this cream and within the first few days, I noticed a real difference. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, doesn’t feel greasy, and most importantly, it doesn’t irritate my skin—instead, it soothes it. With continued use, my skin became softer, more supple, and visibly healthier, without that constant tight feeling.
I love that it’s fragrance-free, oil-free, and non-comedogenic, as it hasn’t caused any breakouts. It also contains ceramides and niacinamide, and the added SPF makes my routine much easier. After trying many products, I can honestly say this is the only one that truly worked for me. It’s now a daily essential.

Great daily lotion

Great daily lotion. I love that it is light and fragrance free. It is perfect for day use. I have dry skin and sometimes it is not enough to use by itself. I mostly use it during the day as a base for sunscreen but it feels really good on the face and does not leave my face feeling greasy. The ingredients are really good and the value for money is great. I love LRP products and this is so easy to use.

The best

I’ve been using the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer for a few weeks now, and it’s honestly one of the best daily moisturizers I’ve tried—especially for sensitive skin.
First thing I noticed is how lightweight it feels. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave that greasy or heavy film that a lot of “hydrating” lotions do. My skin feels instantly softer, but not suffocated. It layers really well under makeup too—no pilling or weird texture.
What really stands out is how balanced my skin has been since using it. I tend to get dry patches but also occasional breakouts, and this somehow helps with both. It hydrates without clogging pores, and I’ve noticed less redness overall. The fact that it contains ceramides and niacinamide is a huge plus if you’re trying to repair your skin barrier.
It’s also fragrance-free, which I personally look for because anything scented tends to irritate my skin.
The only small downside is the price point compared to drugstore moisturizers, but honestly, a little goes a long way and the quality makes it worth it.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this if you have sensitive, combination, or dry skin and want something simple but effective. It’s become a staple in my routine.
