It can be used for a variety of images, including snapshots, landscapes, and portraits. In particular, the optical design of 17 elements in 14 groups results in the best resolution (2 ASP, 1 H-ASP, 3 HR, and 3 ED). The bright aperture provides a gorgeous background blur. The stunning starburst effect and natural-looking bokeh are both a result of the 9-blade circular aperture. Just 13.8" away from the subject, the minimum focusing distance is perfect for pictures of food on tables or exaggeratedly attractive people. The lens has seven locations where weather sealing keeps out light dust, rain, and snow, allowing you to take beautiful pictures even when the weather is less than ideal. The Custom Switch makes it simple to choose functions, such as MF Mode and Aperture Control Mode. A louder, more precise control of a larger, heavier focus lens group is possible with a linear stepping motor.

Parfocal
This function maintains the focus on the subject when zooming in/out. It is equipped with a function optimized for video shooting mounted on cine zoom lenses.

Cinematic Video AF
As the AF speed is properly controlled during video recording, wobbling is reduced and stable video recording is possible.

Linear MF Focus Control
Provides convenience to video shooters by realizing the torque of the focus ring as closely as possible to that of a manual video lens when shooting video in manual mode.
