"Hey, Arionna." 

"Well, don't you sound chipper? Everything okay?" 

How does she do that? I utter one word, yet my sister knows something isn't right. 

"Everything’s fine. Sort of. No. Ugh, I don’t know.”

"Let me guess, Liam?" 

"I just had another dream about him, And I liked it." My cheeks get hot as I get into more detail. "We were kissing like we did a few days ago, and we couldn't stop. Clothes came off. There was sweat, moans, chills. Everything. Then I woke up." 

"Maybe a little TMI, but that's okay. What's so wrong with that dream?" 

"Nothing is wrong with the dream. It's how I feel now. I like Liam. Like, like like him, Arionna. I keep telling myself it's nothing. I mean, ten grand is a lot of money." I head to the kitchen and put on a pot of coffee. 

"What would be so wrong if you did like him?" 

"After Sean, I vowed never to date someone with money again. It’ll never work out. And besides, it’s so risky. Like, we did this for a bet, for something practical, and I look like an idiot if I look like I think it’s all been real. Or, worse, like I’m tricking him into it." 

"Well, first, Serena, not every man with money is like Sean." 

I guess she's right. Look at how different Arionna and I are. Poor people are definitely different. 

“And second, people get feelings for each other even when they’re not supposed to. There are no rules about this stuff, Serena.”

"I guess. It’s hard not to fall for him. You should see the way he treats servers when we go out to eat. Or the way he remembers all the details of everything I tell him. Not to mention he picks up after himself and isn't a slob like most men." 

"You're not making a case for yourself here. Liam sounds great." 

"He is. We never run out of things to talk about when we are together. Our dates are always fun, and, ugh, why is this happening?" 

"I still don't see the problem. You're getting paid ten grand to hang out with a hot guy, go on lavish dates, and attend parties that I assume are catered and set up with an open bar. I'm sorry, is your Rolex too tight?"
