Background
Galectins are a family of carbohydrate-binding proteins with specificity for N-acetyl-lactosamine-containing glycoproteins.Galectin-4, a tandem-repeat-type lectin with affinity to sulfatide and nonsialylated termini of N-glycans, has the ability to regulate adhesion of cells to ECM components and is also involved in polarized membrane trafficking.Galectin-4 expression is concentrated within microvilli in the gastrointestinal epithelium, where it can interact with CD3 and bind activated T cells in the lamina propria during intestinal inflammation. Galectin-4 can also bind lung, spleen and kidney macrophages, although its expression is normally low in these tissues. Neurons and OLGs were identified as a possible source of galectin-4, both in vitro and in vivo. In culture, neurons but not OLGs released galectin-4. In co-cultures, a reduced release of endogenous galectin-4 correlated with the onset of myelination. Galectin-4-reactive sites are transiently expressed on processes of premyelinating primary OLGs, but not on neurons. Neuronal galactin-4 is a candidate for a soluble regulator of OLG differentiation and myelination.

Finely, a sink caddy that actually sticks to the sink! We have been so frustrated trying to find one that does. This one is great. We just used the suction cups, which are large and there are 3 of them. If finely actually stays there!

Works & Looks Great!
This item comes with two options for sticking to the sink, suction cups & an adhesive thing. I decided to try the suction cups first, that way I can remove them to clean, plus I wanted to test out the position of where I put it on the sink. They work great! I haven’t had to re-stick not once. Great staying power! And it looks really good! Also, the seller sent a follow-up message just to check in & offer answers if any questions arose. That meant the world to me, like it’s not every day a seller cares what you think once money changes hands. 10/10 would recommend!

Three months later, it's a keeper

I hate it when reviews are left one day after the product arrives. At that point, there's no way of knowing if the item is going to last. When my last sink caddy went bad (the suction cups rotted out and the wires had started to rust), I ordered this as a replacement. Inexpensive, functional, worth a try.
There were two things that impressed me when this arrived. The suction cups weren't permanently mounted, so if they fell apart, the caddy was still worthwhile. Secondly, the company offered free replacement suction cups if the time came I needed them. That struck me as above-and-beyond; I had no idea this was part of the package.
I'm happy with this. It looks good, I detach the sink caddy regularly when I want to move it out of the way, and it pops right back into place. For the money, I don't think you can beat it.
