Alice – Cotton Steel Boned Waspie Corset for Waist Shaping

Alice in cotton is built for anyone who wants serious waspie-style shaping in a breathable, natural fabric. This cotton waspie corset has the same shorter cut as our mesh version, sitting between the ribs and hips without pressing into either, but with 20 spiral steel bones that put it in a different league for structure and shaping results. With regular daily wear, expect a 4" waist reduction.

20 Steel Bones in a Short Cut, Built for Real Waist Training

Most waspie corsets run 10 to 12 bones. Alice in cotton runs 20 spiral steel bones plus 4 rigid steel plates at the front, making this a genuine double steel boned waspie corset built for serious daily waist training, not just light shaping. The hook & eye closure at the front fastens securely and handles regular tightening without losing its hold over time.

Inside, a reinforced waist ribbon holds the corset's shape through repeated use. The lace-up back comes pre-laced with a 5" modesty panel for smooth, comfortable adjustment. As a waspie corset with lace-up back, it gives you full control over how tight or relaxed the fit feels. The cotton outer and lining make this one of the most breathable options in the Alice range, practical for long daily wear without the heat retention of PVC or the open-weave feel of mesh. Unlike mesh, the cotton shell sits smoothly under fitted clothing without showing texture through the fabric.

Cotton, Steel Boned, and Made for Shorter Torsos

The cotton Alice is the right pick if you have a shorter torso and want maximum shaping from a compact cut. The shorter waspie length suits torso lengths between 8.5" and 11.5", sitting cleanly without riding up or digging in. As a short torso waspie corset, it gives you the waist definition of a longer underbust style without the extra length that makes longer corsets uncomfortable for shorter frames.

It works well as a black waspie corset for gothic fashion, alternative style, and stage wear. The cotton shell also makes it a practical everyday waist cincher corset for daily wear under clothing, available in black, red, white, and beige so it pairs with anything from gothic looks to everyday outfits.

It's also a reliable posture support waspie corset for desk work or long hours on your feet. The 20 steel bones keep your back aligned through extended wear without the bulk of a longer corset. For anyone shopping for a cotton waspie corset plus size option, the size range runs from 3XS to 7XL so finding the right fit is never a compromise.

If you want the same waspie pattern in breathable mesh instead of cotton, our mesh waspie corset gives you that with half the bone count for a lighter, more flexible feel. Or if you want more coverage with a longer underbust cut in the same breathable cotton, our cotton steel boned underbust corset is worth comparing.

Sizing Your Cotton Waspie Corset from 3XS to 7XL

Getting the size right matters more with a steel boned corset than with regular clothing. Here's a simple way to think about it:

If your natural waist is 30", choose the size that closes at 26". That gives you the full 4" reduction with lacing room at the back to tighten gradually over time.

This cotton waspie corset comes in black, white, red, and beige, covering the most popular color choices for everyday and occasion wear. As a steel bone waist trainer in a shorter cut, this spiral steel boned waspie corset is one of the most structured short corsets in our range.

If you're wearing Alice for a costume or a relaxed fit rather than waist training, go one size up for comfort.

Front length is 9.5", side length is 7.7", and back length is 9". If you're unsure about sizing, email us at [email protected] before ordering and we'll help you find the right fit.

Sammy's Note on the Cotton Alice

I'm Sammy, the maker behind Corsets Island. The cotton Alice came from wanting a waspie that felt genuinely breathable for daily wear without cutting corners on the boning. Twenty bones in a shorter cut is not something you find often, and it makes a real difference to how the corset holds its shape through a full day of wear.

Every Alice is made and packed by hand in my workshop. If you want it in a different color, a custom size, or with a different closure, I'll make that happen at no extra charge. You can choose from a silver zip, antique zip, gold hook & eye, silver clasps, flat front with side zip, or front lacing. Add a note at checkout or email me at [email protected] with your natural measurements, your desired closed corset size, and any other details.

STELLAR
Format: Hardcover
Highest quality print. I ordered this book during the early part of the 2020 pandemic. When it arrived I was so happy. The images were comforting during a time of great stress in our world. It reminded me that Final Fantasy has been a tremendous part of my life. I'm grateful for the effort put into this book, which was in part a preview of the Pixel Remasters that came later. Brilliant.

Amazing book, but unnecessary
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
I would give this book 5 stars, but at the end of the day I don't think I can. I love flipping through it and looking at the color palettes and seeing the ways the artists communicated ideas through their limited palettes and spaces. There are also little 3D paper arts you can do of some of the sprites, like the fountain pictured above. It has helped me in my pixel art journey and it could 100% help you. The only reason I would say not to buy it is because all of the sprites are accessible online. If you want to understand the art on a deeper level and develop an appreciation for the passion that pixel art contains, buy it. If you want to look at them quickly as references and are an experienced pixel artist, it is not as useful, you could learn the rules just by looking at the sprites online, but you would miss the explanations and writings that help explain the art.

Great for my Quilting!
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
I bought this book at launch and it has pretty much become my “bible” for Final Fantasy pixel art. I sew and love making nerdy quilts so when I saw this, it was a total insta-buy. It showcases so much original art as well as newly designed sprites (for both older and newer games). I honestly didn’t know about the newer games being designed as sprites so when I saw this, I immediately got to creating. Beyond this being a great pattern book for pixel quilting, I loved seeing a piece of FF history we don’t get to know about. Also loved the interview showcased. A good book for any Final Fantasy lover collection!

A great book for a fan of the early final fantasy series.
Format: Hardcover
I love this book! I grew up with the NES and this brought back a lot of memories of how as a kid I would get lost in the creativity of what developers of these games made with only some blocks. I love pixel art and this book is great if you enjoy making your own and admiring the work of someone else's and seeing their imagination from some truly great games. This book is small in size but is perfect size to show blown up images of final fantasy pixel characters and creatures, also of places from the games. Also having final fantasy characters from beyond the Nintendo/SNES was a really cool surprise to see if they had been made in that era.
