In January 1917, the war in Europe was, at best, a tragic standoff. Britain knew that all was lost unless the United States joined the war, but President Wilson was unshakable in his neutrality. At just this moment, a crack team of British decoders in a quiet office known as Room 40 intercepted a document that would change history. The Zimmermann telegram was a top-secret message to the president of Mexico, inviting him to join Germany and Japan in an invasion of the United States. How Britain managed to inform the American government without revealing that the German codes had been broken makes for an incredible story of espionage and intrigue as only Barbara W. Very spacious and beautiful

A lot of my books fit on here and there’s still more room left if I wanted to buy more books. It’s a simple looking bookshelf but it’s really pretty. It’s also sturdy the only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 was because it comes with its own plastic screw anchors and they are crap. The shelves were wobbly when we installed them using the plastic screw anchors that came with the packaging. My dad set mine up and luckily he had a bunch of his own so he switched them out with better screw anchors. Once we made that switch it was perfect, there was no wobble or shaking at all. So that’s my only piece of advice. Besides for the screw anchors everything else is perfect
