About this course provider

Training Provider: AlertForce (RTO 91826)

Location: Unit 16, 13-15 Wollongong Road Arncliffe NSW 2205

Course length: 8 hours

Time: from 8am

Background

You are taking a serious risk if you stand, climb, or walk on any structure that is too high to cause injury in the event of a fall. Working at heights is one of the leading causes of workplace deaths.

The government requires that all workers and employers complete safety training in accordance with WHS standards to help reduce risks and improve height safety.

This course is the nationally recognised course for RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights delivered by RTO AlertForce.

What is the Work at Heights Sydney Course?

This course teaches workers how to assess risk and work at heights. Students learn how to select the best fall protection equipment and minimise risks through proper training. Safety at heights training Sydney also covers:

  • Assessment of the hazards associated with working at heights
  • Proper clothing, equipment and footwear
  • Understanding the different types of fall protection
  • Learn how to handle workplace accidents
  • Use the hierarchy of control steps

This hierarchy of control measures gives guidelines for assessing risks and minimising them. There are eight levels of control measures. The workers begin at the lowest level to analyse the conditions.

  1. Do not attempt to perform tasks in high places
  2. Workplace falls prevention
  3. Prevent falls using collective equipment
  4. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent falls
  5. Reduce distance with collective equipment
  6. Reduce distance with PPE
  7. Minimise consequences for collective equipment
  8. Training can help you minimise the consequences

The training course's primary purpose is to reduce falls. It starts by avoiding high places. Workers who cannot work at heights must take every precaution to minimise the risk.

Next, you need to find safer ways to do your tasks. Workers may choose to work from a lower spot rather than from a higher location. This reduces the need for personal protective equipment (PPE).

Workers should use collective protection equipment if the area is not safe. This could include guardrails and other external devices.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is the last step to prevent workers from being injured while working at heights. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may include straps, harnesses, and lanyards.

Workers then focus on mitigating falls after implementing measures to prevent falls. Airbags and nettings are common ways to reduce the risk of falling.

Workers also need instruction and training. The WHS Act recommends that workers take training courses to obtain the required training.

Training courses teach you how to work in dangerous environments. The training courses also teach the correct safety precautions to ensure that working conditions are as safe as possible.

What do I need to learn Sydney Working at Heights Training?

Working at heights can be fatal. Additional hazards are inherent in high-risk jobs that must be avoided or minimised. You will likely need to take a course in working at heights if your job involves tasks that require you to climb ladders, scaffolding, roofs, or other structures that pose a danger of falling.

You must enrol through an RTO to complete the training course. Before enrolling, make sure you verify that the course is offered by an RTO or its partner. If required by your workplace, an approved training center will offer a curriculum that conforms to the WHS code and a unit of competence.

What is the length of the Working at Heights Training Course?

The RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights Training Course is a full-day course. It usually lasts approximately six hours depending on how many people are involved. Students have plenty of time to take breaks and eat during the course.

While the Statement of Attainment does not expire, students should refresh their knowledge by attending a working at heights course in Sydney. This is usually every 2 years. Workers may choose to do this online, rather than attending a full-day class. The online course usually takes between two and four hours. Although there is no requirement to take Nationally Recognised Refreshers, it is a good idea to check with your employer to confirm what is allowed.

How High Do You Have to Be in Order to Need a Working at Heights Ticket ?

27%% of all workplace-related injury claims are caused by falls at work. The national code of practice requires that all workers at heights greater than two metres must undergo risk assessments to reduce injuries and fatalities. Workers who work in shorter spaces are still advised by the code of practice to take safety precautions.

What is the average length of a Working at Height ticket?

The expiry date for a license is not set. Refresher courses are a way to stay current on safety practices. Refresher courses reinforce all that you have learned in your initial training.

Online refresher training at heights is possible. This allows you to keep your safety in mind without having to repeat the full-day training course.

If you don't have a certificate yet, enrol in the RIIWHS204E training course for work at heights. You can work safely at heights with the right guidance.

Pack's Promise was okay but not great
    Format: Kindle
Pack's Promise was okay but not great. I won't recommend it to anyone that I know. PRO: * Very likable characters * Lots of steamy scenes that are written very well * The spelling and grammar are good * The punctuation is good with the exception of using hyphens instead of commas. Lots of hyphens. Lots and lots of hyphens. CON: * Almost no interactions with any characters outside of Madison and the pack * Nearly no plot. They meet, get together for a heat, agree to make it permanent, done * Quite a few typos such as extraneous words, missing words and words out of order THINGS TO KNOW: * More steamy scenes than storytelling * A lot of MM & MMM, some MFMM during heat

    Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
    Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.

    Fantastic writing and non-stop action
    Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

    Fun read
    Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
