Its defining feature is its unorthodox blade shape, which combines the functional elements of the sheepfoot, hawkbill, and our Reverse “S” patterns to yield a remarkably versatile cutting edge. Designed by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser, its blade is full-flat ground from 9Cr14MoV stainless steel for exceptional edge geometry and low-friction cutting performance. The blade is supported by a stout back lock mechanism housed within a linerless handle featuring gray, peel-ply-textured G-10 scales. To support a full range of carry preferences, the handle includes a four-position pocket clip that can be configured for tip-up or tip-down carry on either side of the body. A generously sized lanyard hole in the butt of the handle completes the package, allowing the easy attachment of fobs, lanyards, and safety lines.
