This area of the Atlantic Ocean is known as the Graveyard of the Atlantic-rich with the bones of 500 years of lost ships-including some pirate ships. When I got back into the studio I made a little sketch of the ship from memory which later manifested as the Ghost Ship painting with my wife as witness to this magical moment."
