artist biography
Leif Colbjörn Knudsen was born on November 20, 1928 in Stockholm. He was a Swedish painter and print maker.

He was the son of the actor Kolbjörn Knudsen and the artist Asta Knudsen. He studied in Sweden and abroad. In 1949 he began study at the Valands konsthögskola (Art College) in Gothenburg under Endre Nemes until 1953. He spent time in the early 1950s studying with André Lhôte in Paris. He also took private study trips to England, Holland, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. Whilst at Valands konsthögskola he participated the student exhibitions at Mässhallen and Art Gallery in Gothenburg, had print editions included in the the Valand portfolio as well self-published the lithographic portfolio Zarathustra -53. Upon graduating Valands he went  on and won a Franska Staten scholarship to Paris to study tapestry technique and monunmental painting. These include Nya Valand (New Valand), Poetisk Abstraktion (Poetic Abstraction), Riksförbundet för bildande konst. (National Bound for Fine Arts), Konstfrämjandet ‘Grupp Väst’. Under this name the three exhibited at Gothenburg Konsthall, Gävle Museum, Lund Konsthall, Skövde Konsthall, Eskilstuna Museum and Gummesons in Stockholm.

He was one of the founders of Grupp 54 in Gothenburg in 1954. The group started a gallery in Gothenburg in 1958, inaugurated with an exhibition by the surrealist Max Walter Svanberg . Grupp 54 also awards a prize from the Leif Knudsen memorial fund.

Strong, convenient, and perfect for busy setups
Style: 20 Ounces, Size: 150 Count (6 Packs of 25 Bowls), Style: 20 Ounces, Size: 150 Count (6 Packs of 25 Bowls)
These bowls are a staple in both my home and now adding them to Airbnb property. They’re sturdy enough to handle soups, cereals and even heavier meals without getting soggy or collapsing too fast. I love that they’re microwave safe and compostable makes cleanup easy and eco-friendlier. The 20 oz size is generous and the pack of 6 lasts a good while for sure especially when you’re hosting guests or just want a no-fuss option for meals (or for the teenage boys and their friends coming for a quick bite). You'll appreciate the convenience, and I appreciate not having to worry about dishes piling up all the time. Design and color has some fun to it over the typical white basic kind. Definitely a good value and also doesn't have that weird scent or doesn't leave that weird taste to it. If you’re looking for durable, disposable bowls that don’t feel flimsy, these are a solid pick.

I have bought these Dixie plates for a few years. They are very good, sturdy plates. I also have the bowls to match. Plates are sturdy and will not bend like regular paper plates
