The exhaust wrap is then treated with a proprietary vermiculite coating for improved temperature resistance and abrasion resistance. The benefits of wrapping exhaust systems is hotter exhaust gases that exit the system faster through decreased density. Increased exhaust scavenging is produced, along with lower under hood (as much as 50 percent) and intake temperatures.
PTP's Fiberglass Exhaust Wrap is oil resistance and supports operating temperatures up to 1200°F with peak temperatures of 1500°F.
