Several palm trees arise. You find yourself in the middle of one of the most beautiful paradises on earth, Martinique Island. What you are hearing is Raphäel Toiné's Ce Ta Ou / Sud Africa Révolution, one of the most gorgeous Zouk albums ever made. Funk arrangements, fat bass, and crazy synths all melt together in a record that transports the dancer to a remote piece of land in the middle of the Caribbean. This rare Afro-boogie and Zouk synth funky LP was recorded in Switzerland in 1986 by this incredible artist that knew how to condense the vibe and lifestyle of a region in a piece of black gold. "Dread Vibrations" or "Sortilège", two of the seven cuts that compose this work are both ready to delight a listener on the prettiest sun rise as well as make dancers drool at the end of a three-day festival. "Femmes Pays Douces" is an impressive exercise where vocals decorate a melodic instrumentation that could be listened in loop forever. "Bizness A Bangkok" is a synth and jazzy masterpiece that captures the '80s pure essence and brings peace to the body and mind. Love this! Blends into natural skin color so well. Coverage is great without looking cakey or like heavy makeup but evens out skin tone and lasts all day. Doesn’t dry my skin. I’m 50+ and don’t even use moisturizer before applying. Apply with fingers and use a brush with powder and again, lasts all day! I don’t use anything else.
However I do NOT like their color sciencepowder. It’s horrible. But I love the Younique pressed powder with it. Bought on a whim to get spf and so glad I did. Tried It brand and some others and none compares!

Almost a home run

Initially I really loved how this sunscreen made my skin look. The tint provided enough coverage to even my skin tone and hide my remaining melasma. It gives a very nice glow that doesn’t look too greasy. I have dry skin, and this was moisturizing enough for summer; although I would probably need a moisturizer first in winter.
After using this product for many weeks however, I realized that it leaves residue on my hair making it feel chalky and dry. I’ve tried different techniques of washing my hands really well after so I don’t spread residue to my hair when I fix it, but I found it still made it’s way into my bangs. I even tried pulling my hair back and wait an hour before putting it down but inevitably my hair got this dirty chalky feel to it. It makes me feel dirty which is enough to deter me from wanting to use it exclusively.
I wanted to use a tinted physical sunscreen to stop the pigmentation to my melasma, but I just prefer how chemical sunscreens feel. I started to use this over my cheekbones after I apply my chemical sunscreen to help deflect blue light, but I think going forward I’ll just purchase a more affordable option if it is going to be used on such a small area.

I have been using Colorscience Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Original color for over 5 years. I love that the color blends with your skin so well and provides a natural looking finish.
It does not cover all of my dark spots or defects, but it makes my natural skin look better. The finish is soft and silky and the 50 helps protect my skin from additional sun damage. If you are looking for a more natural finish, this is a great choice.
