Over millions of years, these particles joined together to form our planet in what is known as the Goldilocks Zone, the habitable zone around a star where the temperature allows for liquid water to exist. Earth’s size and distance from the Sun made it very unique within our solar system, as these properties allowed for complex life to evolve.
