Why is it so easy to find sugary cereals and dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets in a grocery store, but so hard to shop for nutritious, simple food for our children? If you’ve ever wondered this, you’re not alone. But it might surprise you to learn that this isn’t just an American problem.
Packaged snacks and junk foods are displacing natural, home-cooked meals throughout the world—even in Italy, a place we tend to associate with a healthy Mediterranean diet. Italian children traditionally sat at the table with the adults and ate everything from anchovies to artichokes. Parents passed a love of seasonal, regional foods down to their children, and this generational appreciation of good food turned Italy into the world culinary capital we’ve come to know today.
When Jeannie Marshall moved from Canada to Rome, she found the healthy food culture she expected. However, she was also amazed to find processed foods aggressively advertised and junk food on every corner. While determined to raise her son on a traditional Italian diet, Marshall sets out to discover how even a food tradition as entrenched as Italy’s can be greatly eroded or even lost in a single generation. She takes readers on a journey through the processed-food and marketing industries that are re-manufacturing our children’s diets, while also celebrating the pleasures of real food as she walks us through Roman street markets, gathering local ingredients from farmers and butchers.
At once an exploration of the US food industry’s global reach and a story of finding the best way to feed her child, The Lost Art of Feeding Kids examines not only the role that big food companies play in forming children’s tastes, and the impact that has on their health, but also how parents and communities can push back to create a culture that puts our kids’ health and happiness ahead of the interests of the food industry.

Pawesome variety box!
Size: Large, Color: 9 Packs, Size: Large, Color: 9 Packs
I’m a big fan of this box of tug toys. My dog loves to chew and play tug-of-war, and these have been a great fit for him. The quality is solid, and one box typically lasts us around 6 months. He’s now 3.5 years old, so he doesn’t chew as aggressively as he used to, which helps them last even longer.
You get a great variety in this box. It’s honestly like Christmas for him every time I bring out a new toy. I usually grab a couple and let him pick. The different shapes and sizes keep things interesting, and he enjoys all of them. The toys are lightweight but very durable, even for an aggressive chewer like mine.
The material is made of thinner rope strands, but they’re tightly woven, which makes them ideal for both tugging and chewing. I also think the texture helps with his teeth and keeps them a bit cleaner.
I do keep an eye on them once they start to unravel, since I don’t want him swallowing loose strings. That said, it takes a while for him to break them down, so I’m comfortable leaving them with him when I’m not home.
I’ve bought several of these boxes over the years. For the price, it’s a great value—about the same cost as a single tug toy at most pet stores. My dog is about 55 lbs, and these are a great size for him. Even the smaller ones get a lot of use. His favorites are the looped ones and the ones with balls—he gets excited every time I pull one out.
I’ve tried other tug toy variety packs, and they don’t compare to this one. If you’re looking for a reliable variety pack for your dog, I’d recommend this one with confidence.

Revenge is sweet
Size: Large, Color: 14 Packs
The package arrived promptly. The puppy was ecstatic. She leaped into the pile of toys and went crazy. She tore through one after another. In mere minutes she devoured everything in sight. They never stood a chance. Within an hour or two she had consumed the entire pile of toys. Not to worry they had their revenge. She puked multi color string for days.
Overall the toys were fun just not durable.

Very very durable
Size: Large, Color: 9 Packs
So after spending quite a bit of money on toys for a 1-year-old long-haired dachshund because she's a very aggressive chewer I took a chance and bought this rope set and it's been 2 months she still has all her ropes everything I must say this is a very durable set well worth the money well worth the play time she loves tug of war these ropes are great for tug of war she has not chewed through any of them she has tried to take them apart which she had succeeded on one but I put a few knots in it and other than that I would recommend this rope set to anyone that's got a dog that likes the fat especially play tug of war or is a very very aggressive sure
