🧾 Ingredients
100% Alfalfa.

Supplied in a 20kg bag.
🍽️ How to Feed
Can be fed dry in snack balls or as healthy treats. Because pellets are high in fibre, ideally feed soaked or with chopped fibre for individuals that bolt their feed.

Adding to Bucket Feeds
Feed dry alongside chopped fibre for added interest and a concentrated fibre source. Up to 500g per 100kg bodyweight/day (e.g. 2.5kg for a 500kg horse).

Using in a Treat Ball
A great low sugar & starch option for a treat ball to help reduce boredom and encourage a natural trickle feeding rate.

One level scoop of Alfalfa Pellets ≈ 1.6 kg.
💧 How to Soak Alfalfa Pellets
For those that struggle to chew, soak pellets before feeding. Use hot or cold water:
  • Cold soak: ~2 hours
  • Hot soak: ~15 minutes
As a guide, use a 1 : 3 ratio (pellets : water) to produce a mash. Pellets can be left to soak through the day or night if preferred.

To Dampen the Feed
Add ½–1 mug of soaked pellets to dampen feeds—especially helpful when mixing powdered supplements.

Always introduce dietary changes gradually and ensure fresh water is available.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Do alfalfa pellets need to be soaked before feeding?
They can be fed dry in snack balls or as healthy treats, but ideally feed soaked or with chopped fibre for horses that bolt their feed. Always soak for those that struggle to chew.
Do Alfalfa Pellets contain anything else to bind the pellet?
No. They are 100% alfalfa with nothing else added.
Are alfalfa pellets suitable for other animals?
Yes — suitable for a variety of species including sheep and goats. Particularly useful to reduce waste outdoors and for animals with limited fibre appetites.

cats like the mat
Cats love kneading this, laying on it. I bought it for them to jump down on, and that it not what it's made for. There is no foam, nothing absorbing shock. It's just a thin pad with fluff. But its soft and nice to lay on.

Cleans up nicely
I’m using this for our new puppy in his crate at night and of course he’s had a few accidents but cleaning this is easy. And it comes out fluffy every time. I think I’ve watched it four times so far and it’s still in great shape.

This pad is soft and big enough for my Chuhuahua!
My Dog prefers this to any spot in the house. If I move it she will move it back. It’s soft and cozy. I am extreamly happy with it.

Goes flat
These beds looked nice and actually wash well. Let them air dry to get more fluff, but they go flat in a hurry. Our 3 cats liked them in the beginning, but didn't last long. Maybe 3 months with washing once a month. Disappointed.

Great price! Great Paper towel!
Package Size Name: XXL, Size: 150 sheet (Pack of 2)
These Amazon brand paper towels are great! They are the multi tear size, which is perfect for different uses. The price is good and they clean windows and glass wonderfully. Softness is so so, but if you don’t have an issue with that, then these are a great buy! I definitely recommend!
