This orchid is a hybrid genus produced by breeding Catasetum, Cynoches, and Mormodes.

Leaves will yellow and drop during or after blooming starting its dormancy period!A deciduous grower that will drop foliage in late fall. The pseudobulb will be completely bald and that is normal. Water regularly and new growth will emerge in spring.
