Prescription Glasses Sunglasses SUN SMITH for Optic Nerve Atrophy or/and Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy

Principle

To address the needs of people with various visual impairments, such as colour vision defects and severe light sensitivity in patients with glaucoma, cataract, age related macular degeneration, pigmentary retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, etc. LESA France offers a full range of special absorptive filters developed specifically for low vision applications. Age related macular degeneration or AMD is a genetically transmissible disease and is responsible for an increasing number of cases of low vision. Condition affects the macular region, the area which enables us to see objects in central vision. A slight visual discomfort at first, more or less then gradually the lesion increases to form a central spot to form a central spot - scotoma. Near vision rapidly becomes difficult. Glaucoma is often associated with high intraocular pressure inside the eye, slowly destroying the optic nerve. This gradually leads to a deterioration of the peripheral visual field. Often painless, it can lead to permanent blindness if left untreated. Diabetes leads to the appearance of lesions on the retina. This is known as diabetic retinopathy. It leads to a progressive loss in visual acuity.

UV light is harmful to the eye, but it has been shown that blue light also has a harmful effect. These are the short, energetic waves of daylight. When it enters the eye, its diffusion creates a kind of deformation of the image on the retina, leading to a reduction in contrast. In addition, optic atrophy, a consequence of damage to the optic nerve, can reduce contrast sensitivity and make it harder for the eyes to adapt to varying light levels. The purpose of the filters is to suppress the spectrum of UV and blue light to make vision more comfortable by reducing sensitivity to glare and increasing contrast vision and acuity. The filter will select the wavelengths that can enter the eye.

Different tints for cataract are available, providing improved contrast sensitivity and enhanced eye protection from harmful light by filtering UV until 400 nm and some visible spectrum wavelengths from 400 nm to 450-500 nm.

You can use sunglasses as standard non-refractive sunglasses available in different sun protection categories from 1 (indoor, cloudy weather) to 3-4 (outdoor, sunny) and tints. Category 4 - not suitable for driving!

Pastel tones:

Fun educational book
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
This book is a big hit! My 5 year old son and I read it so many times since we ordered this in April. It has cute illustration and 60 flaps and pop-ups which make the book even more exciting. And because of this, I don’t recommend this book to young kids under 3 though. Some flaps might be tricky for younger kids. Even I as a parent learned so much about construction.

Great book, but the other book of the same author is much better
Format: Hardcover
This is a very high quality book, chock a block full of information about construction sites, with lots of imaginative flaps, things that swivel, move, and fold. HOWEVER...it is not as good as "The Ultimate Book of Vehicles" by the same author. The "Vehicles" book is more appropriate for kids 3 years and up: It is still full of awesome flaps, swivels, and things that move, but it is simpler, with pictures of the vehicle, the name of the vehicle, and maybe a few names of the parts of the vehicle. You open up a flap to see inside, make it move, etc. My son found it very interesting. The "Construction" is really aimed for older kids, I'm guessing 5 and up, maybe even older. There are just so many words on the page, and so much information. The flaps are not as interesting as the previous book, and I found many of the moving parts to be "sticky", and my 3 year old ripped quite a few out within a week of reading the book. We have not ripped anything from the "Vehicle" book. So I would say if you have an older kid who wants to gain a lot of knowledge about construction sites, this book is for you. But if you have a younger child (3 and up, any younger and they'd destroy the book), get the "Vehicle" book.

So Much Fun And Very Informative
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
This book has been a winner in our house since it arrived. Each page has so many flaps, spins, pulls and movement. So many new words and easy explanations for the kids. The pictures are beautifully designed and each time we look through it we find more details we missed! The book is an excellent purchase and definitely worth every penny!

Best Construction Kids book
Format: Hardcover
My nephew can look at this book for hours. It is such a cool book even for adults. It is a more delicate child’s book as their are lots of demonstrations and paper pieces that move. The house across the street is being torn down and rebuilt and he will sit and point to the book and say this is what they are doing today. I think this book is one of my nephews most prized possessions. It’s a great book that can grown with them for a few years. He is only 3 but this could easily engage a 5 or 6 year old. There is lots of details and the book is really well designed.
