SIWA was born out of a collaboration between designer Naoto Fukasawa and the traditional Japanese washi paper manufacturer Onao, who's history and expertise date back 1000's years. Over that time, the company perfected the art of paper-making - they created a new water and tear-proof paper-based fabric, that is able to carry heavy loads with ease. This storage box from SIWA is crafted from their brown soft-Naoron, paper-based fabric, which has a beautiful crinkled appearance.
