Prepare to fall in love with this hand-painted Art Nouveau pendant, which is exquisitely crafted and in great condition.
This shimmery enamel pendant depicts a lovely young woman with flowing hair wearing diamond accents on her gown and a diamond studded star in her hair. The star suggests that this may be a depiction of the Greek star goddess Astraea, a symbol of innocence and hope.
This piece was originally an antique brooch (circa 1880-1900) that we transformed by removing the pin findings and welding on a gold bail. It is 14k gold (unmarked, but acid tested) and measures 1.5 inches from top to bottom by 1.2 inches wide.
The condition is quite good; however, there is one tiny chip to the enamel on the top left side of the piece (visible in the photos).
