The scoop grating can be secured to the hull using a screw although it is recommended to use a marine sealant as well. The scoop is also supplied with a back locking nut and washer. Important note: All fittings used for through hull applications must be correctly electrically bonded to ensure protection from electrolytic corrosion. Bronze is highly suitable for below waterline through hull applications.
