Here is our new K Series Sidewinder.One of the design aspects we really wanted to have was keeping the turbo square to the engine and not having the inlet of the turbo facing towards the center line of the engine.
Also we wanted to have the best in class for boost control without going to a massive wastegate. The manifold will come machined to suit the 44/45/46mm waste range yet also allow the customer to cut the flange off and run a 50mm unit if desired. The internal sizing and flow will still out flow a 50mm unit.
We also believe this feature to be an industry first: a 4" down pipe with clearance for LHD brake master cylinders and their booster. It also allows wastegate plumb back and provision for a wideband to screw in.
On the manifold there is a mount near the turbo flange that allows the customer to make an extra brace to support the weight of the turbo system.
On the dump and manifold there are provisions to run a brace to keep the weight of the dump off the V-Band flange. The dump is machined for a 3.5" V-Band flange to make it easy for a full 3.5" exhaust or 3" system to be fabbed up. The manifold will also come with our innovative 50-55mm V-Band mounting system to allow turbos as small as a G25 through to a 6870 or down the track we will be releasing a weld on piece that will allow 70mm V-Band flanges to go on so you can run the big boi turbos like @garrettmotion G40 G42 and G45's or @precisionturbo 6870 all the way up to 8685's.

VERY poor materials and fit for E46, WILL FALL OUT

This part resembles the original, but not enough.
It is both too big AND too small, depending on the dimensions. It's too small from top to bottom, and too big from side to side. The locking tabs don't get close enough to lock (see pics) because there is too little clearance. Viewing from the front, the outer top corner is so far out (see pics) that the most important tab cannot properly lock in, causing the grill to drop out into my hand (or the ground, if I wasn't there to catch it). The grill also is missing some important curves to follow the shape it is supposed to fit into.
It also wasn't matte black as ordered. It looks like it was spray-painted, but I can't be sure. it is made of VERY brittle plastic, and the locking tabs are VERY small and flimsy. I wouldn't expect this part to survive a month or two before blowing away in a medium breeze.
One positive is that there is a relief cut to allow the hood safety catch handle to move fully upward without interfering with the plastic grille. That one positive has a lot of making up to do, and there's no way it can do it. Add to that that the seller included instructions for a car fifteen years newer than the model advertised on the item page, and we have a complete failure. But don't worry! I'm sure the seller will probably delete the listing and make a new one so they don't have to have this honest review attached to it.

Quality grills for e46 BMW
Size: For BMW E46 2002-2005
No reason to buy replacement grills at the dealer or even at an auto parts store. These are great quality for a fraction of the price...and you get both sides. Highly recommended if you have an e46 and the grill plastic has deteriorated and is loose. These grills are thick and robust. I like them better than the original. Fit is snug but they look great.

Perfect fit. These grilles were better quality than the price would suggest. Easy to install, not brittle, and fit very snug. I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews for these. I was fairly rough with the first one I installed and it didn’t crack. They look great. For a purist with excess money lying around, sure, go with genuine BMW. For a daily driver, you’d never know the difference aside from the black finish. Save the money spent on these over the OEM BMW and use it for something else.

The back story on the car for those who might wanna talk trash about its condition:
I bought this ‘01 330xi from a buddy who really beat the car up. I’ve had to replace the entire front end and am in the process of painting the car. I had to source a hood at my local pick ‘n pull due to low funds because I bought a new house recently. The hood I found at the parts yard was for an ‘04 e46 (post facelift). Hood fits just fine and the grilles are perfect. Don’t hesitate to buy!
