All my cards are hand letterpressed on a vintage Adana 8x5 letterpress, using vintage lead type and ink.
I have a number of fonts of different sizes and styles and lots of coloured inks, so have a look at the examples above and I can also send you some pictures of more of my work to help you decide. Choice of board colour used is up to you as well as envelopes. Classic styles are always a winner, but if you fancy something different, GO FOR IT!
Letterpressing is the term for pressing type into card therefore leaving a 'deboss' (impression) in the card. If you like the type to be raised off the card, I use thermographic powder and heat to create an 'emboss' ( much favoured in wedding stationery )
I use colorplan card 350 gsm and 540 gsm thickness and premium envelopes used are FSC rated and are recyclable and any cellophane protective wrapping used is made of biodegradable corn starch. I mainly print on a stock of Pristine white or pale grey board but if you prefer a particular colour, just ask, as I can order any colour from my paper supplier in the UK.
All printing and packaging is done by myself with love, care and attention. I am passionate about the quality, detail and presentation of each card. As all my cards are hand printed each one is individual and unique and slight differences may appear in the colour and print of the ink. This is perfectly normal and is what I love about hand printing, each card will have individual character rather than the 'mass produced factory' look.
