Welcome to the Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes) (C2) Refresher / Verification of Competency (VOC) Training & Assessment. There are a large number of risks and dangers for anybody operating a mobile C2 crane. This VOC assessment course has been designed to give you an understanding of these risks and the system in place to help keep you safe. It also serves as an assessment for PCBU’s or business operators to ensure they are compliant with the WHS Act (or equivalent) in that operators of plant are competent.

This VOC is designed for those who are required to operate an up to 20 tonne Slewing Mobile Crane as part of their role. The aim of this VOC assessment is to ensure that you are competent when you are currently licenced to operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (licence class C2 up to 20 tonnes)

Features of this refresher training include:

- Download a VOC Certificate on successful completion

- A Digital Wallet ID VOC Card is also issued once all your documentation is verified and you’ve been deemed competent by the assessor (see 'John Citizen' sample)

- Verification of competency by our RTO partner, AlertForce RTO Code 91826 and a Licenced High Risk Work Assessor.

This training and assessment program addresses three components of the Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes) C2 class licence (all based upon the unit of competency standard set out in TLILIC0010 or superseded equivalent). The 3 verifications of competency include:

A. Knowledge or theoretical component (tested online with a mixture of critical and non-critical questions)

B. Calculations component (tested online with all required to be answered correctly)

C. Performance component (practical with access to relevant workplace plant and equipment)

The VOC assessment is based upon the intent of the Mandated National Assessment Instruments (NAI’s). However, it is important to note that this training & assessment does not give you the practical skills required to operate or apply for a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) nor is it Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment. This is to be used for VOC purposes only. To achieve initial accreditation or high risk licensing for the C2 class, you must complete an in-person training session with an RTO and Trainer accredited to deliver TLILIC0010 training.

If you operate a mobile crane, many employers will want to ensure you are competent as, if not, you could endanger your safety and the safety of those around you or damaging costly plant and equipment.

This refresher / VOC course assesses the knowledge, calculations and performance components of TLILIC0010 Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes) (C2) and will provide you with information and assessment on:

  1. Plan work/task
  2. Prepare for work/task
  3. Perform work/task
  4. Pack up

THIS IS NOT A NATIONALLY RECOGNISED COURSE - ONLY TO BE USED FOR REFRESHER / VOC PURPOSES IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY ACHIEVED A STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT in TLILIC0010 (or TLILIC3008) and/or hold a valid C2 licence.

Note: Whilst a Statement of Attainments do not expire, different worksites have different policies and requirements of what refresher training should be. You should check with your employer if you are unsure. This VOC assessment course is a Verification of Competency undertaken by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 91826) and a High Risk Work Accredited Assessor with over 40 years experience.

What is a sample of the areas covered during the course assessment?

  1. Work orders / lift plans
  2. Work area operating surface
  3. Rated Mobile Crane Capacity (RC) and Working Load limits
  4. Appropriate paths of operation
  5. Hazard identification / risk elimination / control measures / relevant workplace personnel to advise
  6. Traffic Management Procedures
  7. Best communication Procedures
  8. Confirming Relevant Workplace Procedures in according with Crane and lifting
  9. Correct consultation
  10. Risk Control Measures checked
  11. Fly jib setup correctly / Safely positioned
  12. Operational checks completed
  13. Weather and environmental checks
  14. Positioning for safe disconnection
  15. Correct shut down and securing

Activities and quizzes appear throughout the course and are part of your assessment as well as the requirement for video interview with assessor. They must be successfully completed to be verified as competent.

A VOC Certificate is issued on successful completion of the course and you are required to get a 90-100% pass mark to be deemed as understanding the content (depending on the critical and non-critical nature of the questions). It is recommended that refresher training is conducted every 2 years to maintain currency. Please check with your workplace policy to abide by their rules.

Entry requirements:

  1. You must submit 100 points of ID to enrol eg. Drivers Licence and Medicare or Passport
  2. You must also include a valid High Risk Work Licence. In this case a licence for class C2

NOTE: this training is suitable as refresher only up to 12 months (All states but WA which is 24 months) after your licence has expired depending on which Australian State you reside in.

If your licence has expired, we recommend that if this is the case and you intend to remain working, you should renew your licence with your State Regulator before your time runs out.

To undertake this VOC you need to have the following:

  1. TLILIC0010 Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes) OR
  2. TLILIC3008A Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes) OR

    Recommended by my veterinarian
Size: Small (Pack of 1), Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
My veterinarian recommended the red Kong as a chew toy. I’d been buying my 13 lb, now 7 yrs old dachshund the flavored nylabone chew toy products “for aggressive chewers” since he was about a year old. He loves them and would chew them daily. All seemed well. On his last checkup the veterinarian even said that his mouth looked good, but we both could see that there was a brown tartar buildup on his back teeth. Since our veterinarian’s practice has one veterinarian who has dental training, I decided to arrange for a teeth cleaning for my dog. Unfortunately, although none of us expected it, once the tartar was removed from the back teeth it was clear that the teeth had cracks. One large tooth was even chipped down to where we could see the pulp! (Yes, I did note that he occasionally would suddenly squeal when chewing his nylabone, but I thought it was because he’d hit one of the sharp points on a well-chewed nylabone.) The vet recommended that two of the teeth be removed while the dog was still asleep. Then he recommended the red Kong chews for him and said that he would never recommend the nylabone for any dog. They are just too hard and he’s seen too many dogs (of all sizes) end up with cracked and chipped teeth that he (the vet) thinks could have been avoided. He recommended the red Kong for my small dog. The black Kong chew toys are harder and more suited for larger breed aggressive chewers. So far my dachshund is satisfied with chewing the Kong, so that’s what I’ll be buying from now on.

    Withstands big dog
    Color: Green Cactus
As a dog mom to two active pups, I’ve gone through a LOT of chew toys over the years and honestly, many of them just didn’t hold up. Some cracked, broke apart quickly, or became rough after only a short time of chewing. That’s why I was genuinely impressed with the MewaJump chew toy. Both of my dogs immediately loved it, and what stood out most to me was how durable it’s been compared to other toys we’ve tried. It’s held up really well with aggressive chewing while still seeming safe and comfortable for them to use. I also love that it keeps them entertained and engaged longer without constantly worrying about pieces breaking off. Definitely one of the better dog toys we’ve added to our home lately and Molly and Piper would agree.

    Not recommended for strong chewers.
    Color: Green Cactus
There was nothing wrong with this. But my dog is an absolute destroyer. She makes it her personal mission to annihilate any toy I buy. This did not last 30 minutes. Very cute and good for normal dogs that like to actually have toys to play with. Do not recommend for strong jaw destroyers.

Durable for light to medium chewers - not heavy
    Color: Green Cactus
obviously cute. not super durable - lasted a good minute but disintegrates fairly quickly and eventually nothing was left - having to high monitor with a big chewer. (10 mo Great Dane)
