In a quiet, earthen nook, along the edge of town and amid the tall dusky pines, lies a curious little shop, or rather a curiosity shop.

The Tidings Curiosity Shoppe has been Cloven's most beloved and sought-after treasure trove for those seeing the ancient, the abandoned and the odd. 

It's deep shelves and lantern-lit corners, hold everything from tiny trinkets coveted by aristocrats of the Victorian era to nearly unrecognizable tools forged by primitive craftsmen, strange and colorful remnants of Dust Bowl travelling shows and even stranger relics that rose up from the murky banks and flooded black gum trees that steam in the belly of our lands.

The figa.

Found amongst the wonderfully strange belongings of a charmingly eccentric woman whom had spent many of her 98 years on this earth, accumulating artifacts of both unknown and superstitious origins.

This particular figa amulet, noted as being discovered during a trip to France, has been carved intently from gorgeous dark wood, adorned with delicate brass filigree and a polished marquis of Amethyst.

In addition to the wonderful figa amulet, our homage to Tidings is completed with strands of patinaed & double-curb vintage brass chain, an antique brass escutcheon and an array of Rose Quartz and Amethyst beads that cover one side of this stunning statement piece.

The necklace measures approx. 22" long including the lobster claw clasp.

The escutcheon measures 1-7/8" long x 1" wide on it's own. The figa pendant measures 2-5/8" long. 

All hand-wired in antiqued brass.
