I mainly embroider polo logos. How do I choose between different hoop sizes?
For polo logos, the 6.5″ × 6.5″ (165 × 165 mm) magnetic frame is one of the most popular choices as it centers well on left-chest areas. If you occasionally handle larger or stacked text designs, try the 8″ hoop for extra workspace. Both sizes maintain stability and quality stitching on Avance embroidery machines.
When using this magnetic frame, should the stabilizer be placed inside the hoop or floated outside?
For most garments, place the stabilizer inside between the hoop layers to secure fabric and prevent shifting during stitching. For thick fabrics or hard-to-hoop items, floating the stabilizer under the bottom magnetic frame is effective. My needle hit the edge of the frame. Why did this happen and how can I avoid it?
