These adorable nostalgic little stuffed gnomes are meant to bring a bit of old-fashioned charm to Christmas décor.  The gnome scenes would look fabulous on a mantle or in a bookshelf, or you can add a loop to the top and hang them from the tree.  There are 5 designs included in this set: gnome (finished size = approx 7" tall), elf (finished size = approx 6" tall), tree (finished size = approx 5" tall), and two sizes of presents.

The look of the designs can change significantly depending on the fabric choice – for a pudgier gnome, use boucle, chenille, or other lightly stretchy fabrics, and for a more traditional tall thin gnome, use felt or wool (old wool scarves work great for this project!).  The beards can be fun fur, felt or fleece – whatever is on hand.  The hats (and the top of the tree) are bendable and I use either a small flat-bottom rock in the base so it doesn’t fall over, or some sand wrapped up in a bit of cling wrap.  I also add festive-scented potpourri to the stuffing so they smell wonderfully like Christmas!

Each one is created in a single 6”x8” hooping and they are assembled by stitching the seam up the back and stitching on the base (and hand stitching the hole for stuffing).  The size of the largest design file is 5.4”x7.7” (14x20 cms) and they are quick stitching with between 3,300 and 8,600 stitches.

Please note these are machine embroidery in the hoop (ITH) designs, not sewing patterns, and they can only be used with an embroidery machine.
