Utilising ArmortexMDS an abrasion resistant Multi-Directional Stretch base material the “KRIEGER CLASSIC” trouser ensures the wearer has excellent flexibility in the areas which matter.

The crotch area is fully constructed using the Multi-Directional stretch material and the seams have been reinforced stitched for extra security whilst stretching. The fly-zip has been double cross stitched and clamped at the base reducing the risk of stress loads. A roomy tailored leg constructed with minimal seams ensures excellent air circulation reducing the need for unnecessary wear and tear points (e.g. zipped leg vents).

The pre-formed knees give increased comfort and movement. Made from ArmortexKFM, this is a heavy duty waterproof, tear resistant Kevlar polyamide material.

The inner ankle hem is double lined to protect the blocking filament from boot eyelet wear. The outer hem is protected by a 55mm cuff of ArmortexKFM.

Do you wear the correct trousers?

AFAG401 quotes “Leg protection* and groin protection (complying with BS EN 381-5). HSE strongly recommends Type C leg protection for aerial work, because of the high all-round chainsaw cut protection. However, where wearing Type C is impractical (e.g. because of the higher risk of heat stress associated with it), it may be appropriate to use Type A, where justified by risk assessment.”

No PPE can ensure 100% protection from the use of handheld chainsaws. Users must ensure that the garment is suitable for the application and must follow all manufacturers safety procedures and guidelines. Correct training is essential prior to any activity when using powered chainsaws.
