High grade Turkish stick agate - Slab #1High grade Turkish stick agate is very difficult to find. The agate beds just north of Ankara, Turkey appear to have run out of the high quality material such as this. Luckily, I bought a large quantity of rough when it first became available, and have cut many classic and beautiful slabs such as this from it. This spectacular slab is 4 x 5 and 6 mm thick, and almost completely fracture free. This would be beautiful as a specimen, or could be cut up

High grade Turkish stick agate is very difficult to find. The agate beds just north of Ankara, Turkey appear to have run out of the high-quality material such as this. Luckily, I bought a large quantity of rough when it first became available, and have cut many classic and beautiful slabs such as this from it. This spectacular slab is 4 x 5” and 6 mm thick, and almost completely fracture free. This would be beautiful as a specimen, or could be cut up into several high-grade and high-value cabs.
