HP Z Captis: Real-World Material Capture for Next-Gen 3D Design

HP Z Captis redefines how professionals digitize physical materials, turning real-world textures into ready-to-use digital assets with exceptional fidelity. In today’s fast-paced design environments—from product development to cinematic visuals—the ability to translate the tactile nuance of surfaces into accurate, render-ready textures can be the difference between a good concept and a believable, market-ready product. Z Captis delivers a complete material-capture solution that streamlines the entire path from sample to texture library to final render. It combines precise hardware, calibrated lighting, and an intelligent software workflow that automatically extracts high-quality texture maps, color data, and material properties, then formats them for seamless import into your preferred 3D toolchain. The result is a scalable, repeatable process that reduces iteration cycles, accelerates prototyping, and elevates the realism of your digital assets.

With Z Captis, the world becomes your palette. You can scan a wide spectrum of surfaces—glossy plastics, matte polymers, brushed metals, fabrics, wood grains, ceramics, and more—and preserve micro-scratches, fiber direction, pitting, or grain patterns with astonishing clarity. The captured data is not just a single texture; it’s a multi-map package that includes base color (albedo), normal/bump maps, roughness or metalness, ambient occlusion, and displacement data when needed. These maps come ready to plug into industry-standard renderers, game engines, and CAD workflows, accelerating the path from ideation to production. Designers can now prototype realistic material variants at a fraction of the time while maintaining consistent quality across projects and teams. Z Captis is engineered to scale—from individual freelancers crafting high-fidelity visuals to large studios building expansive material libraries for multiple brands and campaigns.

Beyond raw capture, HP Z Captis emphasizes accuracy and reproducibility. The system leverages controlled illumination, color calibration, and intelligent texture extraction to ensure that what you see in your software matches real-world samples under your target lighting and environment. This fidelity translates into fewer revisions, less guesswork, and a smoother handoff to rendering pipelines. The result is not just a prettier texture; it’s a faithful representation of material behavior that holds up under lighting, shading, and camera movement across projects. For teams, this means a shared language of material values—consistent albedo, nuance in roughness, and reliable normal details—that enhances collaboration and product quality across all assets.

  • Fast, precise material capture: With high-resolution scanning and automated alignment, HP Z Captis captures complex textures in minutes, not hours. Its guided workflow minimizes manual adjustments, reduces operator fatigue, and ensures consistent results across repeated scans of the same material. Whether you're digitizing a glossy lacquer or a worn canvas, you get crisp color data, detailed microtextures, and reliable map generation that are ready to export to your 3D pipeline.
  • One-device workflow integration: HP Z Captis slots directly into existing design pipelines. It supports smooth handoffs to Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, Unity, Cinema 4D, and leading CAD tools. Export textures as common formats (PNG, TIFF, EXR) and material definitions (MTL, USD) to ensure compatibility across teams. The device also integrates with asset libraries, enabling you to tag, categorize, and quickly retrieve materials for future projects.
  • Photorealistic PBR textures: The captured material package includes photorealistic texture maps—base color (albedo), roughness, metalness, normal, displacement, and ambient occlusion. These maps are calibrated to maintain fidelity under varying lighting in engines and renderers, producing physically plausible shading and accurate reflections. You can tweak material properties in your software while preserving the underlying capture data, ensuring repeatable results for product visualization or game assets.
  • Shadow-free scanning and color accuracy: The system employs controlled illumination and color calibration to minimize shadows and color drift during capture. With standardized lighting profiles and white balance, color data remains stable whether you scan at your desk or on a production floor. This reduces the need for post-processing color correction and helps you achieve consistent results across materials and lighting conditions.
  • Streamlined production and collaboration: Z Captis builds a centralized material library that supports versioning, tagging, and sharing. Teams can collaborate in real time, compare material variations, and reuse proven textures across multiple projects. The library keeps track of provenance, scan settings, and notes, making it easier to audit materials, reproduce looks, and scale your digital material catalog as your project workload grows.

CHOKING HAZARD
Flavor Name: Bone (S), Size: 6 Count (Pack of 1)
CHOKING HAZARD: I purchased these bones for my small Yorki.. He ate the first two without incident; however, on the third bone he unfortunately choked. As the bones wear down, they become extremely stringy, and those strands do not appear to be digestible. I had to rush my dog to the emergency room, which cost $700. Three days later, he became even sicker because he was unable to pass the remaining portion of the bone still in his stomach. I then had to take him to his regular veterinarian, where he was admitted overnight and diagnosed with pancreatitis and a severely irritated gastrointestinal tract. This entire ordeal cost me over $1,500 in addition to the initial $700 emergency visit. I am grateful that my dog is now alive and well, but these bones pose a serious choking hazard and do not digest properly. I strongly caution other pet owners, especially those with small dogs.

High-Quality Magnesium That’s Gentle and Effective
Size: 90 Count (Pack of 1)
This magnesium glycinate is easy to take and very gentle on the stomach compared to other forms. It absorbs well and is a great option for supporting relaxation, muscle comfort, and overall well-being. It’s especially helpful for easing tension and can support better sleep when taken regularly. Magnesium glycinate is known for its high absorption and calming effects without causing digestive upset. The capsules are a bit larger, but still manageable and worth it for the quality. Overall, a reliable and effective magnesium supplement.

Gentle Gentle Magnesium That Helped My Night Routine
Size: 90 Count (Pack of 1)
I bought the Thorne Magnesium Glycinate Capsules (90 servings) for $25 because I wanted a magnesium supplement that could support relaxation and better sleep as part of my nightly routine. I’ve been taking it for about a month and noticed I feel more relaxed in the evenings and wind down easier before bed. I also tend to get tension and poor sleep when I’m run down, so having magnesium in my routine has been helpful for overall balance. The capsules are easy to swallow and very gentle on the stomach, which I appreciate because some magnesium supplements can cause digestive discomfort. Magnesium glycinate is also known for being one of the more absorbable and well-tolerated forms of magnesium. I actually ran out for about a week while waiting for my reorder, and that’s when I realized how much I liked having it in my routine. Once I started taking it again, it quickly became part of my evening habit. The only downside is the price is higher than some other magnesium brands, but Thorne has a strong reputation for quality and third-party testing, which is why I chose it. Overall, this feels like a high-quality magnesium supplement and a good option if you’re looking for a gentle, easy-to-tolerate form of magnesium.
