The Gland makes the RJ45 Female socket watertight. This cable would typically be used to convert an RJ45 Digital Radar Cable to a RayNet Radar Cable allowing you to connect the cable directly into the back of an ace or gS Series multifunction display or directly into the new HS 5 Network Switch.
