The supporting guitarist, he has accompanied these two greats on many tours and albums. The glue that holds the music together, Mamadou is a virtuoso. With an encyclopedic knowledge of Malian music, Mamadou Kelly represents the new sophistication of Mali. Yet, his charm belies a determined professional. Mamadou's song style is direct, deceptively simple and yet subtly layered with meaning. A rich, historical awareness supports his composition and delivery. Gently prodding his audience with stories, tales and life lessons learned, Mamadou brings a gracious hospitality to his music and the concert stage. With this album, Mamadou steps center-stage. Supported by long-time collaborators, Alpha Ousmane "Hama" Sankare, a calabash genius who can be heard on many historic recordings, and Brehima "Youro" Cisse, njarka (monochord violin) master, their music presents the best and most captivating combination of traditional and contemporary West Africa. On this disc they are joined by the young and gifted bass player Baba Traore. A smooth sophistication testifies to the high level of these artists' craft. The songs were all composed, arranged and performed by these musicians and represent the verve, style and sophistication of contemporary music from Mali. This is the first recording by Mamadou and Bankaina released under their own name.

A very tough toy to stand up to my aggressive chewer lab! It's a great value! The squeak is not annoying, and she's got to clamp down hard on it. It's a nice throw toy! It bounces once or twice but it still brings out the pup in our Dog! Not too small a nice size for a Lab or retriever

A Hardy Toy for Chewers

I must say I was very surprised with the durability of this toy. We've had it for 3 days and not one puncture hole. My rescue is a destroy chewer that doesn't care for Hardy chew toys unless it squeaks. While the squeaker isn't the best, he still loves it. We put peanut butter in the grooves for him and he goes to town. Will purchase again should he ever destroys it, worth the price!

Great toy, heavy, good size, and durable for active chewers. My two dogs like to play tug a war a lot and this toy has held up fantastically! Afterwards they tend to chew toys to pieces but this one has stood the test of time so far. Great buy!

Very tough & VERY heavy

My dog is a half black lab/half pittie & a very aggressive chewer she goes through toy bones very quickly, to the point they're so slivered up within 2 days, sometimes slightly longer, I have to get rid of them, they never last long, except for whole antlers and some split antlers. Although she rarely touches the whole antlers . Anyways, this is a great tough toy for strong large breeds. It squeaks in the center if you squeeze hard enough but the toy/bone was a bit too heavy for my girl. I got her the next smaller one and she still plays with the big heavier one more than the one that fits her perfectly so go figure. It's a great product and definitely recommend for heavy chewers. I only took a star off because of the weight I was extremely surprised by how heavy it was, but that's not necessarily a bad thing depending on the dog, this size is just not for my dog. I think I've had it about a month and she does play with it, not as much as her other toys, but it's still in amazing shape even with her heavy chewing.
