Mit dem neuen und limitierten Don Papa Port Cask will die Bleeding Heart Rum Company den Seefahrer Ferdinand Magellan ehren. Vor 500 Jahren, im Rahmen der später ersten Weltumsegelung, entdeckte der unter spanischer Flagge segelnde Portugiese die Philippinen für die Europäer. Die auf der philippinischen Insel Negros beheimatete Brennerei gab diesen in einer Column Still aus der Melasse heimischen Zuckerrohrs gewonnen Rum zunächst zwei Jahre in Ex-Bourbonfässer und anschließend noch fünf Jahre in Ex-Portweinfässer. Die komplette siebenjährige Reifezeit fand im Klima des nahen Vulkans Mount Kanlaon statt.
Die offiziellen Tasting-Notes sprechen hinsichtlich des Geruchs von nachhaltigen, intensiven Noten von Süßholz, polierter Eiche, dunkler Schokolade und Muscovado-Zucker. Der Geschmack erinnere an spritzige Blutorangen und saftige rote Beeren sowie eine sanfte Note von frischen Vanilleschoten. Am Gaumen reichhaltig und vollmundig mit großer Komplexität. Noten von Rösteiche, Zimt, Arabica-Kaffee und Karamell in perfekter Balance zur Süße frischer Vanille, der dezenten Frische reifer Früchte mit einem Hauch von braunem Zucker. Der Abgang sei außergewöhnlich lang, nachhaltig und trocken mit sanftem Widerhall von dunklem Kakaopulver und einem Hauch von getrockneten Feigen. „500 Jahre ist es her, dass der portugiesische Entdecker Ferdinand Magellan vom spanischen König Karl I. mit einer Expedition zur Suche der sogenannten ‚Gewürzinseln‘ beauftragt wurde“, erklärt Stephen Carroll, Inhaber von Don Papa. „Die Suche wurde eine Irrfahrt zum anderen Ende der Welt und sollte den Lauf der Seefahrt und der Geschichte für immer verändern. Der als limitierte Edition erhältliche Port Cask ist inspiriert von dieser geschichtsträchtigen Reise, die die ‚alte‘ mit der neuen ‚neuen‘ Welt verband.“ Voraussichtlich im November soll der Don Papa Port Cask in den deutschen Fachhandel gelangen.

And alternative to floride toothpaste.

I've been using this alternative toothpaste for a couple months now. It's expensive compared to regular toothpaste, but some suggest that it's healthier for your teeth. Nano hydroxyapatite is supposedly the same molecule that our teeth are made of. So perhaps it may be better for hardening teeth than fluoride. Of course, I can tell if it is doing that or not. Do your own research.
It's a bit more fluid than standard paste, so it sits more flat on the toothbrush. I've discovered that if it dribbles from your mouth onto your shirt, it leaves a white stain on the fabric! So don't use it while wearing your good work shirt. The taste is more mild than the usual minty toothpaste. Not bad at all. At my next dental exam we'll see if it's cleaning my teeth effectively.

I love this toothpaste, this is my second time buying this and it cleans very well and the whitening does really work I’ve had many complements on how clean my teeth look and how white they are.
