The design keeps very close to Ajax’s traditional home identity, but it is built on a distinctly mid-2000s adidas template. The shirt uses white side sections and sleeves around the bold red central stripe, with shaped panel construction that gives it a more technical look than earlier, simpler Ajax shirts. The vertical ABN AMRO sponsor print is one of the most recognizable details and is strongly associated with Ajax shirts from this era.

Ajax used this home shirt during the 2005/06 season. Markus Rosenberg was part of the squad in that campaign after joining from Malmö FF.
