Background - What is WHS?

Work safety, also known as occupational safety and health (OH&S), refers to the management of safety hazards that could affect your employees' health. This includes your customers, suppliers, visitors, employees and customers. While it can be time-consuming and costly at first, safety procedures and purchasing safety equipment are crucial for your business's success. If you fail to take action, you could be facing prosecution, fines, or even losing your staff. To protect your employees, you should also have workers' compensation insurance.

This course Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures (based on RIIWHS201E) will help you earn the skills necessary to interpret and apply site plans, transport rules and signage to locate destinations and to identify, act on and report breaches of worksite safety. Our Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures course is based on the unit of competency of RIIWHS201E. Whilst this course is not nationally recognized, it follows the learning outcomes and elements associated with that unit. The course contains

What will you learn by completing the training course? This course will include an understanding of awareness of the relevant legislation and your responsibilities in working safely and following WHS policies and procedures. Learning outcomes include:
  1. . Select and wear personal protective equipment
  2. . Establish and maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area
  3. Obtain permits and clearances before work is carried out
  4. . Apply safe manual handling procedures
  5. . Identify and apply site procedures 6. Recognise and respond to alarms
  6. . Carry out isolation of energy sources and immobilisation of potential energy sources
  7. . Identify and clarify responsibility when responding to emergency situations
  8. . Apply basic firefighting techniques
  9. . Identify emergency escape routes and procedures
  10. . Identify risks to personal wellbeing and recognise preventative strategies
  11. . Identify, address and report situations which may endanger others
  12. . Comply with all work health and safety policies
  13. . Recognise and report incidents and injuries to relevant personnel
  14. . Prepare written records of incidents and injuries according to workplace procedures
  15. . Contribute to workplace incident investigations

How Is the Training Delivered?

Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures course is available online and completed in your own time. This Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures training course is based on the learning outcomes outlined above. The course is typically designed to be completed in a minimum of four hours. However, the exact length of the course may depend on your ability and prior knowledge around the subject. As the training is delivered online, you are able to complete it at your own pace. What Accreditation Will You Get? After completing the Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures course, an assessment is conducted to determine if you have understood the information presented during the training course. If you pass this assessment, you receive a Certificate of Completion.

IMPORTANT NOTE whilst this course is based on the learning outcomes of the course provided, it is important to note that it is not a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment unless you opt for that option. Nationally Recognised training is only really required If you specifically require that unit of competency for a qualification or licence (typically this will require a practical component, further assessment and increased costs).

This course has been designed to comply with the best practices of national health and safety standards. Terminology has been chosen for clarity and ease of comprehension across jurisdictions. For example, ‘employer’ has been used to signify the broader term ‘PCBU’, while ‘WHS’ represents both work and occupational health and safety. This training is not a substitute for professional legal advice. If you require further advice or information, please contact the health and safety regulator in your jurisdiction. A Certificate of Completion is issued on successful completion of the course and you are required to get an 80% pass mark to be deemed as understanding the content. It is recommended that training is conducted every 2 years to stay refreshed.

So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.
