Since The Karate Kid first crane-kicked its way into the pop culture stratosphere in June 1984, there hasn’t been a week Ralph Macchio hasn’t heard friendly shouts of “Wax on, wax off” or “Sweep the leg!” Now, with Macchio reprising his role as Daniel LaRusso in the #1 ranked Netflix show Cobra Kai, he is finally ready to look back and cele-brate the legacy of The Karate Kid in cinema, pop culture, and his own life.
The result, Waxing On, is a comprehensive look at the film that shaped Macchio as much as it influenced the world. He shares an insider’s perspective of the untold story behind the scenes—the innocence of the early days; the audition process; his experiences working with Pat Morita, Elisabeth Shue, and William Zabka; and so much more. He also takes readers through the birth of some of the film’s most iconic moments, including the creation of the famous crane kick and the touching scenes that revealed Mr. Miyagi’s intriguing backstory.
Ultimately, the book centers on Ralph’s indelible connection to the film itself, focusing on the reason that the characters and themes have endured in such a powerful way, and how these personal experiences have impacted Macchio’s life as well. It brings readers back to the day they met Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Miyagi for the first time, but also provides a fascinating lens into how our pasts shape all of us, and how they can come back to enrich our lives in surprising and wonderful ways.

Great job by Asurion!
Asurion handled my claim quickly and efficiently. My return was picked up by UPS and an Amazon gift card for the full amount was received as promised. Very happy with the process.

Make sure you read the terms and conditions and don't let them off the hook
Asurion is counting on the fact that you don't know how to read. They made the claim process aggravating and as difficult as possible. I CAN read and had to review the terms and conditions with them on the phone and threaten to involve an attorney before they would honor the coverage. They tried to say my product was not portable, when the word "portable" is literally in the name of the product. Then they tried to say the the accidental drop was not covered, but it clearly states in the terms and conditions that an accidental drop and a cracked screen is a covered event. I buy the coverage almost every time I am offered it, but I will be rethinking that going forward and Amazon should consider finding a different company to issue the protection plans for their products because I fear this is the beginning of a lot of complaints. I have filed a claim in the past and it was very straightforward and easy, but they must have a new company managing the plans now, because it was anything but easy. If I was an older person who was not tech savy, or who just took someone's word at face value, I would be out the cost of my item and the protection plan. BUYER BEWARE

Simple and not Drama claim process.
’ve had Asurion coverage for a couple of years and never needed to use it until recently, when my pool salt cell (less than two years old) stopped working. I had purchased it with an Asurion protection plan, so I contacted them to start a claim.
The process was simple and straightforward to follow. In the end, they honored the plan and covered the cost of my salt cell based on the value when I originally bought it. They issued me a gift card that I could use on Amazon for that amount.
While prices have gone up and a new cell now costs about $200 more, it was still definitely worth having the coverage. Overall, I’m satisfied with how the claim was handled.

Love this protection plan
Quick and easy. My daughter's cracked her screen on her phone, as soon as it happened I went on the app, filed the claim. Ten minutes later I received the email with the shipping lable. The following day I dropped the phone off at ups and 4 hours later I received the digital gift card. Ive filed several claims since getting the protection plan and with four kids its definitelysomething im glad to have especially since i dont have to buy a protectionplan for each item now. I have filed claims for electric scooter the stoped working for no reason, my son's phone stopped charging, my oldest daughter cracked her phone screen, my son's video game controllers up and died and each time it was quick and easy and no fuss
