The Draper Clarion fixed screen delivers a truly flat viewing surface that elevates image quality in any environment, from corporate boardrooms to modern classrooms and immersive home theaters. Designed to minimize distortions and maximize brightness uniformity, this 123" screen in a 16:10 format provides generous projection real estate without compromising image integrity. The surface—Draper’s XT1000V in Matt White—offers accurate color reproduction, stable brightness, and a clean, neutral backdrop that supports a broad range of projector types and lighting conditions. The black border around the screen creates a theater-like frame that enhances perceived contrast and helps anchor the image within the room’s design language. A standout feature is the frame’s fixed nature, which keeps the screen perfectly flat and free from wrinkles, creases, or sagging over time, ensuring a consistently pristine image for every presentation or movie night. The installation is streamlined by a frame-to-screen connection that requires no snaps or tools, making setup expedient in fast-paced environments such as meeting rooms, lecture halls, or multi-use spaces.

  • Warp-free, truly flat viewing surface: The Clarion’s fixed-frame design yields a completely flat projection plane across the entire 123" diagonal. This eliminates image distortions and helps preserve edge sharpness, ensuring architectural drawings, CAD schematics, and intricate data dashboards render with clarity from every seat. When your audience is reviewing spreadsheets or watching high-resolution video, you’ll notice smoother lines and more consistent brightness across the entire image.
  • 16:10 aspect ratio for data, diagrams, and multimedia: The 16:10 geometry gives extra vertical space compared to common 16:9 setups, making it ideal for presenting tall charts, multi-column dossiers, and layered slide content. It also accommodates widescreen video with reduced letterboxing, so educators and presenters can showcase both detailed content and immersive media without sacrificing important information at the top or bottom of the frame.
  • Theater-like border, professional aesthetics: The black frame surrounding the screen adds a refined, theater-grade border that visually concentrates brightness toward the image area while coordinating with darkened environments. This design not only enhances perceived contrast but also integrates gracefully with conference room furniture, podiums, and projection hardware, contributing to a cohesive, professional look in any venue.
  • Rugged, tool-free screen-to-frame attachment: The Clarion is engineered for busy rooms where reliability is essential. Because the screen attaches to the frame without snaps or tools, maintenance and servicing are straightforward, minimizing downtime and simplifying routine checks. The result is a robust projection solution that stays flat and taut, resisting sag and wrinkle formation in environments with frequent use or temperature fluctuations.
  • Matt White XT1000V surface for bright, accurate images: The XT1000V projection surface offers a stable, neutral white tone designed to render accurate color and consistent brightness across the viewing field. The Matt White finish reduces glare and hotspots, working well with a wide range of projectors and ambient lighting conditions. This surface is well suited for classrooms, training rooms, and home theaters where detail clarity and color fidelity are paramount.

how to install Draper Clarion 123"

Installing the Draper Clarion 123" fixed-frame screen is a straightforward process designed for reliability in professional and home environments. Begin by preparing a clean, level mounting surface and selecting hardware appropriate for your wall type (wood studs, concrete, or masonry). The frame is engineered to accept the screen without the need for snaps or tools, but proper mounting is essential to keep the frame perfectly square and secure over time. Follow these steps to achieve a precise setup that preserves the flat, wrinkle-free projection surface for years to come:

  • Step 1: Determine the ideal location — choose a wall with ample space to accommodate a 123" diagonal image and allow for projector throw distance, seating, and any furniture or equipment nearby. Take into account ambient light or window glare and plan for blackout options if necessary.
  • Step 2: Locate structural support — use a stud finder to identify wall studs if mounting to wood. For masonry walls, prepare suitable anchors and screws rated for the wall surface. Mark the exact mounting points on the wall to ensure the frame will sit level when installed.
  • Step 3: Mount the frame — loosely attach the fixed-frame to the wall using the provided hardware, keeping it plumb and square. Once the frame is aligned, tighten the fasteners incrementally while double-checking level alignment with a spirit level or laser level.
  • Step 4: Prepare the screen surface attachment — ensure the screen material is clean and free of dust, then align the surface with the frame. Attach according to Draper’s guidelines to maintain a taut, wrinkle-free surface without the need for snap fittings or tools.
  • Step 5: Level verification and alignment — recheck horizontal and vertical alignment after installation. Make any minor adjustments to ensure the image sits perfectly centered relative to the projector’s throw line and seating layout.
  • Step 6: Projector setup and test — mount or place your projector at the recommended throw distance for a 123" image. Test a variety of content (video, images, data slides) to confirm color accuracy, brightness, and contrast. Fine-tune projector settings (contrast, brightness, gamma) to suit the room’s lighting and screen surface.
  • Step 7: Finalize and maintain — seal the installation by inspecting fasteners periodically and ensuring the frame remains flush to the wall. Keep the screen surface clean by following Draper’s cleaning recommendations to preserve image quality over time.

Hides the cables
Size: 36", Size: 36"
Hides the cables. A little expensive but works well. When drilling the holes, be sure to be mindful of the overhang of the net compared to the brackets and the paper template.

Perfect for cable management
Size: 36", Size: 36"
I installed this on my uplift desk and didn’t have to drill any holes. I just used velcro ties on the support beams and it is holding steady. I have about 8 pounds in the mesh holder and the wire management for it is great. Easy to install and functions perfectly

Durable, easy to install, and gets the job done!
Size: 36", Size: 36"
I picked this up since upgrading my desk setup, and was wanting a cleaner, more managed approach to the cables mounted under my desk. Starting with quality, the mesh net is quite strong and can handle putting all kinds of cables and power strips to you liking without worrying about any thing tearing-- it won't even come close, so don't worry. The kit has everything you need to get started: The mesh net, metal pipes to run along the sides, and two mounting brackets to hook those metal pipes onto. On top of that, the product page has a video demo, which is going to do a much better job showing/explaining than I will, so I'd take a look at that if you just picked this up for installation. The net really gets the job done, and I'm happy to give it a 5-star rating for its value, size, functionality, and doing everything it advertised on the page. However, I will add a caveat for those looking for exceptionally clean/low-profile cable management for their desk. The mounting kit was nice to come with a template for you to drill the hooks onto as intended by the manufacturer. However, at this particular width, the net will naturally hang down about 2-3 inches. When looking at a desk from the front, you will still be able to see the net hanging, unless you have a particularly deep desk, or something occluding it. That's not by any means a dealbreaker, but I'd recommend one of two things: - VIVO should consider adding a second mounting template that's wider and pulls the net closer to the table - You can use any drillable hook you might have lying around to add a wider mounting point for the net to be more flush with the desk. Either way, I'm still really happy with the product, and the suggestions above might let you get even more out of it if you're OCD about your cables like I am. All in all, it's a great looking solution for your desk!
