Smooth Autofocus Operation
Sony have incorporated a DDSSM (Direct Drive SSM) AF drive system to enable a high-speed, precise, and near-silent focusing – beneficial for capturing stills and movies with enhanced audio. The design minimises focus breathing for a more stable angle of view when focusing.
Efficient Operation
For more efficient and smooth handling, Sony have incorporated various intuitive controls including a focus hold button that can be customised with a variety of features, a manual focus ring, and an AF/MF switch for instant switching between focusing modes.

The Sony 24-105mm lens design is made up of 14 groups and 17 elements, including two advanced aspherical lens elements, two aspherical lens elements, and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements. The elements are strategically arranged to suppress optical aberrations and further enhance sharpness and natural colour reproduction across the entire frame throughout the zoom.

Featuring Sony’s original Nano AR Coating, this lens minimises ghosting and flare when working with bright light sources, such as backlighting. Sharpness, high contrast and clarity is maintained across the frame in a variety of conditions.
